Course Curriculum Overview

Our course's curriculum is aligned with NSQF standards. Our course has multiple exit points. After the completion of the first year, you will get a Diploma in Business Process and Data Analytics. After the completion of the second year, you will get an Advanced Diploma in Business Process and Data Analytics. After the completion of the third year, you will get B.Voc in Business Process and Data Analytics.

DDUKK CUSAT offers three courses B.Voc in Business Process & Data Analytics, M.Voc in Mobile Phone Application Development, and M.Voc in Technology & Management Consulting. B.Voc courses are just started in 2018. The first batch will pass out by 2021. M.Voc courses have about 80% above placement.

Sargam- Cochin University Arts Festival organized by Cochin University union. Vipanchika - School of Engineering Cusat Arts Festival organized by Cochin University Union. Disha - Annual tech fest of the School of Engineering. Talentime - National level management fest organized by the School of management studies and many other celebrations.

Fee Structure And Facilities

First semester - 25000, Second semester- 25000, Third semester - 25000, Fourth semester- 25000, Fifth semester - 25000, Sixth semester- 25000. There will be a workshop fee and other fees depending on the events happening in the department. There will be workshops that all students have to attend during the odd semesters.

Fees and Financial Aid

You can apply for E-grants if you are a Kaleralit and not from the general category. Also, there are several other scholarships available.

Campus Life

Our department, DDUKK, is situated at the heart of the Cochin University-Main Campus at Kalamassery. Cochin University is known for hosting many celebrations and a vast variety of events. Our campus had the best ONAM CELEBRATION in every year. There are many events like Satyam, Vipanchika, Dishna, Talentime, Propulzo, Inpasco, Saspow, Sarotsav, Hostel Fests, etc.

Hostel Facilities

We can apply for hostels after completing our admission procedure. The hostel allotment list will be published when the classes start. Most of the students get admission into university hostels. If you didn't get admission to the university hostel, then you can stay in the university hostel as the guest of one of your friends. The hostel fee is less than 400 rupees and the mess fee is around 1000 to 2000.

Alumni/Alumna

Dukk has an alumni association and it has annual meetings. It helps the students to keep in touch with the alumni networks.

Admission

I appeared for the entrance CAT by CUSAT. The exam was an easy one. After the release of the rank list, the date of real-time admission was published. We had to appear for the real-time admission process at the Cochin University campus at South Kalamassery. We have to submit all our qualifying certificate at the time of admission. There will be an admission help desk by the Students Union to help us.

Faculty

We have a very experienced and supporting faculty here in DDUKK CUSAT. Some faculty have industry experience which helps them to make the teaching process easier. Since the course is more practical orientated, the industry experience of teachers adds more value to the learning process.

The main aspect that peak my interest towards this course was it's 60 to 40 percent carriculam were 60% theory and 40% theory and also we only need 14 marks for passing out of 40. The exam are conducted at the end of semester.

The curriculum had so many unnecessary subjects that had no connection with our courses like psychology, zoology etc. They could have avoided that. Course Curriculum Overview:

Usually, in our coarse, we follow updated curriculum about food processing technology. We do also have food analysis on our practical classes 3 days per week. I have chosen this coarse because I believe that food processing technology era is growing drastically and we can see lots of opportunities in the same field itself. Improvement can be made in the curriculum, so that they can also include food laws , importance of food in india and world wide so that students will get to know more about the syllabus and food processing technology. The frequency of timing that we get inbetween the semester exams is about 4-5 months which is pretty enough to cover all the portions that they have taken and we can calmly prepare for our end semester and exams very well.
