Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum had so many unnecessary subjects that had no connection with our courses like psychology, zoology etc. They could have avoided that. Jewellery Designing students also had to study advanced minerology . Which in my opinion was a bit unnecessary. Apart from that i learnt to improve my drawing and rendering skills. Learnt about new types and also the history of jewellery Designing. Tools and Machinery used.

Internships Opportunities

4

For our last sem we have to do a 900 hr internship as part of our course. Teachers help us find the companies for the internship. Mainly we find it. Some provide stipend some doesn't. For some companies we have to pay cash to do the internship.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee was constant from my first sem onwards. I only paid 9900 for each sem. But the exam fee had changed according to the exams. My batchmates also had a reasonable fee. And some of them also had scholarships to support.

Campus Life

4

All kind books are available in the library according to our needs. We also had smart classes in almost every classrooms. College really focuses on its football team. Dance club is also very active. Student study groups are also there.

Hostel Facilities

4

We are given bunk beds and racks for storage and chairs. We have study hall used as a dining hall too. Fee's per month is 5000. If there any kond public holidays it comes down to 4500 or according to the duration of the holidays. Food is average. Nothing special about it. We nonveg option for dinner. College hostel is situated 1km away from the college.

Admission

I applied for fashion designing courses in St Teresa college ernakulam. But I was more interested in Jewellery Designing so I opted St Aloysius over St Teresa's. No it's get any rejection from any colleges. I was called for interview in St Teresa's but decided not to go.

Faculty

5

We 6sem exams for 6 semesters and the teachers also conduct internal exams and seminars. Our department teachers provided career guidance classes for us. The teachers are very supportive and helpful. Our syllabus had subjects that were not that relevant to our course. The student to teacher ratio is good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very good they provide a job oriented curriculum. This is a tourism and hospitality course so the study us the languages like frunch, German etc. So it is very helpful for our future because all the time the travelers are foreigners and the curriculum gives us to communicate with them fluently so that they provide us to study forieng language. I have only one suggestion that they provide a communication session with the foreigners that will help us to improve our language

Course Curriculum Overview:

Usually, in our coarse, we follow updated curriculum about food processing technology. We do also have food analysis on our practical classes 3 days per week. I have chosen this coarse because I believe that food processing technology era is growing drastically and we can see lots of opportunities in the same field itself. Improvement can be made in the curriculum, so that they can also include food laws , importance of food in india and world wide so that students will get to know more about the syllabus and food processing technology. The frequency of timing that we get inbetween the semester exams is about 4-5 months which is pretty enough to cover all the portions that they have taken and we can calmly prepare for our end semester and exams very well.
