Remarks

The fact that some of the top scorers across all national exams choose BITS hyderabad as their home for 4 or 5 years speaks more about it than one person ever could. For a truly magical time with a perfect balance between academics and all round development we all at BITS Hyderabad welcome you.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

According to me the curriculum covers just about everything needed for a particular course, the exams though a little too tough at times, are an effective evaluation of a student's knowledge of the subject.

Placement Experience

5

Placements are a major factor taken into consideration while choosing a college. BITS meets the expectations of some of the finest students in not just the country but the world. This is possible largely because of the extensive alumni network of BITS and the recognition of the institute by all major players in different markets. With 1 compulsory 2 month internship arranged by the college itself students get accustomed to work life well in advance allowing them to make an overall much more informed choice regarding their future.

College Events

5

There are different regional associations for the various states of the country each one hosting its own meet and greet every year, in a 10 day long celebration of our rich culture and diversity. Our campus has three main fests with see an inter-institute participation. Arena, our sports fest which is the largest sporting event at college level in all of South India. Pearl is our cultural fest again one of the more popular and awaited events. Finally we have Atmos our technical fest bringing into light all kinds of new innovation every year. In addition to these we have a literature fest called the verba maxima which hosts an ever increasing number of events. Debates, extempore speeches, poetry recitals, plays to mention just a few. These fests are what every student eagerly waits for since the very beginning of each year. The proshows including various standup comedy acts, dj nights, kickass music performances give students a much deserved break every few months.

Fee Structure And Facilities

BITS though expensive when compared to other government colleges of the same tier is at par with other privare institutions. Considering the employment avenues available upon graduation form BITS I'd say fees is the last the to worry about.

Fees and Financial Aid

Mcn or the merit cum need scholarship is available to all students. Of all the students with parental income less than around 10 lakh (changing every year) around 25% are awarded handsome scholarship. Also the top 10% regardless of parental income also get a scholarship. Regarding loans BITS being a premier institute, most banks allow loans upto 30 lakhs with no collateral payment for which can be started as late as a year after graduation.

Campus Life

4.5

With our sports fest being one of the best in the country, our sports facilities also match up in this regard, with a swimming pool being built and expected to be ready soon there will not be a sport you wouldn't be able to take up here.

Alumni/Alumna

BITSAA the alumni division is the best alumni network of the country besting even IITs. A bitstian can never run out of people to seek help from regarding just about anything from foreign internships to jobs openings.

Admission

Like most of the students on campus I was actually preparing for jee advanced, top IITs being my first choice. BITSAT the entrance exam for all 3 BITS campuses in India has a similar syllabus and pattern and thus didn't require any additional effort on my part. When I was unable to get admission into a course of my liking in the top IITs. BITS Hyderabad one of the premier institutes of out nation came to my rescue.

Faculty

4

The faculty without doubt comprises of some of the best and most qualified individuals of their respective fields. Professors for the most part are extremely efficient in getting across their points in a well articulated manner. With research work gaining momentum in India I see the faculty at BITS playing a major part in the growth of our research industry.

The geology has very significant importance to human in more ways but the Geology related jobs are very less in state government and central government. Few geology related companies are give opportunities to students wit. Internships and also provide jobs with tough exam and interview. The companies are Geological Survey of India and NGRI etc.. we expect that jobs in state government jobs but very less in state government in geology related jobs.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is quite relevant and comprehensive offering a balanced combination of theoretical and practical knowledge for learning. This curriculum helps in developing both conceptual clarity and analytical skills and prepare students well for real - world challenges as well as higher academic pursuits. This curriculum is strong and valuable. The frequency and timing of exams are generally reasonable though at times.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It is an amazing course. Helps me understand the concept very deeply the curriculum is also really good. Every teacher has their own way of teaching some can improve but it is fine we can try to study and understand by ourselves a bit. When it comes to internals its of 20 marks we have as such three of them for one sem and avg of 10 is taken from it internals are of 1hr and externals will be about 2hrs 30mins and labs of 3hrs

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum of the biotechnology course includes all the relevant topics needed to gain information about the subject. The curriculum also includes currently developing topics of interest which may gain popularity in the future (like bioinformatics). It thoroughly prepares us for real world applications as we gain exposure to various fields of interest in the subject and get a hands-on training in the subject. Ab area i would like to suggest for improvement is to alot equal no. Of periods to different papers in the subject as each topic has its own value in the academic and career purpose. The internals are conducted every month within a duration of 1 hour for each paper. there are currently 4 internals for our batch, each of 10 marks. The externals or the end semester exams are conducted at the end of the semester approx 6 months, which are of 50 marks. 10 marks is alloted for attendance, bringing the total to 1000.
