Nice climate throughout the year. But winter is a little bit chilling due to hill station. But transportation problem is high in monsoons transport is hectic to the nearest airport or railway station.

MBBS is a 4 and 1/2 years long curriculum consisting 9 semesters, 2 semester per year. 2nd year consist of 3 semesters for one and half years long. University exams are held by Sikkim Manipal University, and MCI. Official registration after getting degree is provided by Sikkim Medical Council.

Yes, SMIMS provide paid internship of 1 year for MBBS pass-outs. Internship has all the departmental postings included social preventive medicine. Internship salary 10,000 rupees per month till now, may be increased in near future.

Labs are well equipped with not that much recent equipments, but have high tech research facilities. Have a sports complex, with separate Gym for boys'and girls', table tennis, badminton court, football court, basketball court etc.

Yes, hostel is available for MBBS course. Boys' and girls' hostel are separate. Hostels have good infrastructure. But rooms are 3 sitter. 3 people share a single room, but have enough space though, have balcony and attached washroom with geezer for each room. Food is ok, have 4 time servings. Breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner.

Hostel have very nice senior junior relationships, productive interactions. Seniors are very helpful and supportive to juniors, and juniors are also very cooperative. Alumni are held every year for the batch passed out 10 years ago. Alumni is another joyful yearly event, held in month of October.

After clearing NEET PG exam cut off marks, apply online by filling form with application fees. Forms are available after NEET PG result out, on the official website of the college. Several merit list to go through to fill up the 50 general seats, and there are also other 50 seats consisting of local quota for people of Sikkim, and NorthEast quota for other 6 States of N.E. India.

Faculties are top graded, very much helpful and supportive. Infrastructure is also good over all. Though some issues still have scope for improvement. Have own super speciality hospital called Central Referral Hospital with in the campus.
