Despite being a private college, the administration is very strict about the academics
College is very research oriented and encourages students at every stage
College conducts all kind of fests all throughout the year

Dislikes

Being on hilly area there is some accessibility issues particularly in winter and monsoon season
The college is pretty strict about the attendance and there is serious repercussions

Overall experience is pretty good Libraries are air conditioned with 9-12 pm setting There are 2 sitting area for study as well as classroom can be used Sports fest academic fest also take place once evey year which is organised by the students itsefl There are in all 5 students clubs and a student council

Eligibility of course is 12 completion Required in subjects such as biology chemistry physics and maths Completion for NEET is a mandatory requirement. cut off has to be cleared. Admission is pretty simple.

Sikkim Manipal Institute Of Medical Sciences (SMIMS): My Dream Medical College

Course Curriculum Overview:

MBBS was always my dream course. SMIMS has the highest faculty: student ratio as much as I have read about. All the faculties have specialization in their field, Mostly MD, DM, Ph.D., and also MBBS. We usually have 2 sessional exams, 1 pre-University and 1 University exam in a year, and many small formative assessments and tests throughout the year. It is quite easy to pass those exams if one is really dedicated to studies.

Remarks:

It's one of the best institutions to pursue your medical profession with so much good infrastructure and lab facilities for the students to learn. And yes we have our own hospital so that we can practice our medical profession.

Remarks:

My overall experience in the campus is quite good. According to me, there are some aspects on which the college can work upon or should improve. Gender discrimination in case of curfews should be taken care of. The college should provide a good platform for the student-alumni interaction. Food quality could do with a lot of improvement.
