Remarks

Positive- extracurricular Activities, Infrastructure, feasible courses. Negative- location, practical aspects, faculty co ordination, exposure etc are few positive and negatives. Fees is also expensive.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

There are some usefull courses added to curriculum like Softwares, skill development, but it lacks in hands on workshop, Personality development. Seminar by Architects. But overall it's above average but there is lot to improve.

Placement Experience

2.5

No, there is no such campus placement. For the first students have to find firm which suits them and if at all you are unable to find then faculty will assist you to find one. Being finding firm at that suits is hard to get. Even Internship is also the same we have to do on our own. I am now doing my internship which gives me a stipend of 3000rs.

College Events

4

We hosted Zonal NASA event, Pleiades, Blackhawk, and some competation etc. We even have department level student body which does events every week and on special occasions called Ankur. Even we inner and intra departmental sports activities.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It depends on which quota you have got the seat, for cet it varies from 0 to 60k, for Comedk, 1.5 to 2 lacks, for management donation plus 1.5 - 2 lacks fees. Fees vary as per needs of college infrastructure.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, there are scholarship for minority, sc, St and others. Many students do pay the fees by student loan by demand Draft. Even there is an option to pay in installments on asked permission. Note there is fine for payment delay.

Campus Life

3.5

On extracurricular part it is good it conducts all kinds of sports activities like cricket, batminton, table tennis, football, carrom, chess, and many others. Our department has studios instead of labs.

Alumni/Alumna

I have no great knowledge about the alumni of college these are some alumni who visit campus for design twice or thrice a semester, senior students are helpful and cooperater. Thou many great alumni don't visit as of they age.

Admission

Through Comedk Quota which is secondary seat allocation process for those who weren't selected through CET- government Quota. Below are the types of seats allocation process: 1.CET or JEE. 2.COMEDK. 3.Management.

Faculty

3

Some are really good, some are really bad, most of them are ok, there is some communication gap between the faculty that's bad. Some faculty has not much practical experience. The college as to collaborate to other good colleges and try to imply them.

Admission:

The admission procedure is not tedious. After plus 2 and appearing for JEE 2 or NATA exams, candidates have to apply with that scores. After screening they will be called for interview. For validation purposes, all the original certificates will be scrutinized.

This is a very good College in terms of education and co-curricular activities. The events hosted in the College and the workshops are almost always paid for so it is hard if you don't have pocket money with you always.

Admission:

I applied to the college based on my score in the National Aptitude Test for Architecture (NATA). I also appeared in the JEE Main paper 2. However, the NATA score been good then JEE Main paper 2 so I said for the NATA counselling. I was allotted a seat in the institute in spot counselling. After the grant of the admission I was called to the campus to complete the procedural formalities for admission. I opted for the institute because it is one of the top institute for architecture studies in Mysore.

Remarks:

The Architectural education scene is still a work in progress, and the quality changes dramatically in a short period of time and hence the relevancy of my remarks here are questionable., Management has changed recently, the University of Mysore has taken over, and it brings bigger resources, better integration with other university facilities and it's government-like administration with it's pros and cons. It would be wise to personally visit the facilty.
