My experience at BBIT

I would ask the authorities to improve the college as there is various room for improvement in every department. And those who are looking to get admitted should try any other college. The diploma department is good though.

The Mechanical Engineering department of BBIT is really very weak. It lacks good teachers and facilities. We were promised various renowned names who left within a year. And they were replaced by low payed associated who didn't had clear idea and could never inspire us.

The placement is really bad. No big names appeared for Civil, Electrical and Mechanical. Some local good opportunities were offered to CSE and ECE. A few MNCs offered pool campusing where students from all over the state came. But almost 60% were unemployed.

The fests were average. We were cheated by stating that Arijit Singh is performing at the annual fest and they charged us for it but he never came and we were never refunded. The sports and other events all were held at the same time with the fest which was really disgusting as we could never enjoy any of those events fully.

The fee structure is high and more than other institutions. And it is not even value for money as the placement department was horrible. Seats are going empty now. They are increasing the fees every year.

Loan facilities are available with punjab and sindh bank. I didn't found any scholarship opportunity there. State aided scholarships are allowed. Minoeity scholarship assistance is offered. But the office is not really helpful enough.

There is almost zero opportunity for extracurricular activities. The college is very strict and students are forced to stay locked inside class. How can we do extracurricular activities then? Labs are libraries are good. But not all the labs are completely sufficient.

There is an alumni network where former students working in various fields post about openings in various sections. I found it very helpful. Some seniors I met were really helpful and even more helpful than teachers.

I got admission with accordance to my rank for the WBJEE examination 2013. I appeared for the exam which was held and the results were announced with ranks for all the qualified students. At the counseling process I got selected for BBIT Btech in Mechanical Engineering.

The faculty team of Diploma department is good and they really care about the students. But the Btech and MBA department had below average faculty. Yes of course there were some good names but very less teachers were inspirational.
