Remarks

Positive: Good college, good placements, Pretty strict, well-supportive staff, and lecturers. Negative: More improvement and support are needed in sports, fests and cultural activities.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Course curriculum is somewhat outdated and need to emphasize much on practical way of understanding subjects rather than mugging and reproducing the same in the exam. They should cover bridge between college and industry so that one can easily get a job after completing Engineering.

Placement Experience

4

Placements are good, infact our college is one of the top 3rd vtu engineering colleges in Karnataka. Bosch, EY, sap labs, Amazon, Endurance, Target, etc MNC companies visit the campus. Most of the companies are software companies and the average pay os around 4LPA. CSE/ISE gets most of the jobs as most of the jobs offered are related to the software domain. 50+ companies visit during placement season and the placement department ensures a maximum number of students get placed.

College Events

3.5

There will be seperate teams formed by students of their interests, handling various Events. Ethnic day, kannada rajyotsava, Holi, Halloween, street drama, Dandiya, College fests, Department fests, Dancing competitions, Fashion shows, Saraswati pooja etc various cultural events Also Basketball, Cricket etc tournaments will be held.

Fee Structure And Facilities

College fee is less compared to other VTU colleges. It is around 18k, whereas in some other colleges it around 25k+. But CET fee ehat government charges for every year which is around 50k is biggest burden for the students who get admission through merit.

Fees and Financial Aid

Loans are provided by banks and colleges one bank within to deal with related things. Permission are given to pay the fee in installments and student-friendly workers. The scholarship will be given to backward class students, nothing apart from that I feel.

Campus Life

4

Not much importance and support are given to the sport and cultural activities. The college strictly focused on the academic move, a bit rigid with respect to these events. But still, students will have the freedom to participate and support will be given to the same. Labs are well equipped with all the necessary modules, instruments, desktops etc in all the branches.

Hostel Facilities

3

I was not staying at hostel, but the hostel charges what I've heard is around 60k per year. Food is not that good, hostel also looks dirty. Better to stay at outside PG's. There are so many hotels, shops and eating outlets around the college.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes definitely, alumni play a vital role in bringing value to the college and more good companies. They have alumni groups on social medias where one can contact about any information needed. Also, lecturers help in connecting us to the people of alumni helping in career, further studies, and placement help.

Admission

After finishing pre-university school education one has to write KCET / Comedk entrance exam to get into the Engineering/medical stream. I wrote kcet exam conducted by state government of Karnataka and got admission for engineering at RNSIT, Bengaluru. Note that admissions to the college is based on the ranks we get in the exam.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty in our college is pretty good, Most of them are phd holders, and rest on the way to get their degrees. They provide quality teaching and give good academic support to the students. More importantly, they're friendly and easygo nature. Our college is pretty much strict about bunking classes and attendance issues. They will not let anyone to cross discipline of college.

The courses are very nice since it is an autonomous college the courses have been designed to provide the students with knowledge of the latest technology and the need of the hour. Although the new subjects becomes a little difficult to understand sometimes at the end it's going to benefit us itself .

Placement Experience:

The institute records an impressive average package of ~INR 7.20 LPA and the highest packages reaching up to INR 53.50 LPA. The college actively drives employability through a dedicated 'Talent Transformation Hub'. Campus Placements Overview CIT is known for its solid industry connections, resulting in 80–90% placement rates annually. Top Recruiters: Companies like Accenture, Infosys, HP, Amazon, and Samsung. The Process: The placement cell conducts specialized skill-building boot camps and provides structured mentorship to ensure students are corporate-ready by graduation. If Placements Fall Short: Employability & Alternative Plans Even though CIT consistently places the vast majority of its batch, students who do not secure on-campus job offers (or wish to pursue other paths) have robust support through: Startup & Entrepreneurial Initiatives: CIT has an active E-Cell and a business connection to help budding founders. The Talent Transformation Hub focuses on practical knowledge needed to start a business. Higher Education: Students frequently leverage the college's alumni network and faculty mentorship to prepare for competitive exams like GATE, or to apply for Master's programs (MS, M.Tech) in India or abroad. Off-Campus Drives & Internships: Students are encouraged to undertake industry internships and live projects to build their portfolios, making it easier to land off-campus roles at top tech companies.

This is the best part. The whole point of niat program is to get a study for the job. It's not like the old system where you chill for 3 years and panic in the 4th year. All the learning here are very different. From the first day itself we will be doing coding.
