Remarks
Talking about positives, academics provided are best in class.Also the faculties,they behave as a friend.so the interaction becomes very productive. Opportunities provided for extracurricular activities are more. Talking about negatives,some times restrictions are given on some activities such as winning ceremonies etc.Wifi provided also restricted.
Course Curriculum Overview
College of engineering Thalassery is affiliated to Cochin University of science and technology.So the course offered by the college is international level.Exam structure has mainly two parts.internal and external.internal exam is for 50 marks and held in classes as two stages.external exam is for 100 marks and is conducted by University itself.
Placement Experience
Once Placement offered in the college was very poor.but for the last 10 years it has been on growth.Now about 70% of students got placed in different multinational companies from college itself.The corporate giants like wipro,tcs are giving opportunities to the students in the college. There is no internship program provided by the college.
College Events
Our country India is famous for lots of colourful and joyful celebrations.As part of that in our college lots of events take place every academic year.It May be a sports event , youth festival or union inauguration.Every year about 2-3 cricket tournaments and 2 football tournaments take place.Also during youth festival each and every departments in the college compete each other.This gives an opportunity to every student to improve his or her extra curricular activities.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The college has two type of admission.One is based on the marks scored in entrance exam.That is admission is done on merit basis.When a student joins the college on merit basis the student has to pay 35000 each year.but when a student gets admission as private basis he will have to pay 65000
Fees and Financial Aid
The college offers different types of scholarship as part of government programs.Mainly 3 types of scholarships are available in college.The eligibility for scholarship is based on different criterias.one is academics.second is the annual income of student's guardian.The other criteria is the caste.
Campus Life
As mentioned above our college gives lots of opportunities to each student to enhance and improve their skills by conducting youth festivals.The college has it's own team in cricket, football, badminton, kabbadi etc.inorder to select the skilled students college also conducts sports events.Taking about labs,the facility available in the college is above average.Not every instruments and machineries available in labs as mentioned in syllabus
Alumni/Alumna
The alumnies helps the college a great extent to achieve much more height in academics and placements.They provides facilities that is useful for college.for example in 2017 the alumini batch of 2003 gifted the college with a fence covering the whole ground.
Admission
I wrote entrance exam called KEAM,which is mainly an admission criteria for engineering colleges in Kerala.After publishing the rank list i was in the list.Then i given application in college of engineering, Thalassery.After 2 allotments i got admission in my college.
Faculty
The faculty available in college of engineering Thalassery is very good.The knowledge and the resource shared by the faculties in the college are very valuable.Also the behaviour of each and every staffs in the college are very good and friendly.So a student in the college get most from every faculty
