If you want to pursue civil engineering this is the best college you can find in Mumbai University. Getting admission into this college for civil engineering is very difficult Civil engineering students enjoy a lot of royalty on this campus.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course contains of 8 semesters. Each semester consists of 6 subjects with the final theory examination. For the final year you need to do a project using all the knowledge acquired in the course years.
Placement Experience
Placement opportunities for some branches are good. For example it is good for civil, mechanical, computer, IT, etc. College currently doesn't provide any internship but according to the new curriculum of 2020 they are supposed to provide internship, the time will tell !
College Events
There two major events occurring in Datta Meghe. One of them is 'Milestone' & the other one is 'Technitude'. Milestone is a cultural festival, while Technitude is a technical festival.quiz competitions and paper presentations are happening all over the year and you can participate in it.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is pretty much the same that any average engineering College would cost. it's around 1 lakh rupees for one year for open category students. Fees are relaxed for students with caste background it's the same system pretty much all over India
Fees and Financial Aid
There is no loan facility available through the college. However you can apply for the scholarships which can help you in lowering the fees. One of the scholarships is known as EBC scholarship. It provides scholarship to students with weaker economic backgrounds.
Campus Life
As the tab does not have a campus of its own ,it's extra curricular activities are pretty much limited to the badminton court present on the first floor. Labs are maintained averagely. There is no area to practice sports activities.
Alumni/Alumna
No they are not helpful. None of them ever contact to the college. Neither the college cares about contacting them. It's a pretty much messed up situation. However some departments go an extra mile to keep a good relationship with alumini.
Admission
For admission you need to give the common entrance test examination. You achieve a rank and then put on a list rank wise for admission to a certain college you wish to be admitted.You can also appear for the joint entrance examination to be admitted in colleges anywhere in India.
Faculty
The college faculty is decent. However don't expect them to do their work on time. They are helpful on one-two-one basis. The lectures are pretty much useless.You have to study on your own to pass exams.
