Placement Experience

3.5

Our college doesn’t provide any direct on-campus placements but they do assist the students in career development. The management here organizes many skill development and career counseling seminars for the students.

College Events

3.5

Many UGC supported seminars and workshops on different topics, mainly from the trending topics like impacts of GST and UGC sponsored national seminars were also part of our curriculum. Every student is expected to participate in either indoor or outdoor sports activities.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is pretty normal and affordable. This college is a dream place for students who are from the economically weaker section. The college also offers indoor and outdoor sports facilities.

Fees and Financial Aid

Jagadish Chandra De and Arun Kana De, two memorial scholarships, each are awarded respectively to the students of this college securing highest marks in Botany and Zoology at the Part-II examination. There are many other centers and state-sponsored scholarship options that students can avail after clearing the minimum eligibility.

Campus Life

4

The infrastructure is good. The buildings are okay. We had a very nice canteen. The library was also good and helped us a lot during the assignments and the exam season. The campus is lit with greenery.

Admission

The basic eligibility criteria are clearing class 12 with 50% marks. I filled out the application form and went for counseling with my father. They were very polite. Even my father is a pass out of this college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There are several prospects, especially peer-to-peer counseling, where you get a mentor. We call it mentor mentee program. So, there will be groups of students, and each group will have a mentor who helps you whenever you face any issues whether in real life or in your academic journey. They’re always there for you. There are also remedial classes, and extracurricular activities are included in the curriculum. You even get the freedom to choose what you want to pursue creatively, like joining poetry clubs and similar groups. Right now, I’m at Banaras University, and the curriculum here is really good. We have sessions on public speaking, how to conduct interviews, and many other practical skills. These are highly commendable because they help you in professional situations like the one I’m in now. However, I would say that teachers could be a bit more active with electronic tools like using PPT presentations or audio-visual methods instead long lecture sessions. As for exams, I wouldn’t say they’re too difficult because there are many weekly assessments and sessionals, which actually help you evaluate yourself better.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have always wanted to persue English as a career. I love studying English but not a big fan of the new curriculum by NEP that includes a lot pf irrelevant papers. The semesters are not consistent. Odd semesters usually have a lot of time like 6-8 months but even semesters barely consist of 2-3 months.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I used to read so many novels from my childhood and that inspired me in getting attracted to this field. We used to have the fecility of having seminar in the end of every month after compleating of each lessons. And this process helped us in true education. After every year professors from differnt parts of the country used to come for a seminer for overall groth of the students. Actually is theory teaching style is followed in the college, according to me some developments in the practical teaching can be used. Semister is held at the end of every six months and the exams are used to be moderate in nature.
