Remarks

The college management is good and is worth the expenses. The location is good and the staff is very hardworking. Plus the placements are also good. The students can pursue the course without any hesitation.

Entrance Preview

I gave GPAT but my score was not enough to get admission in other government colleges. So I opted for chitkara university. No separate entrance exam is required. They have their own CET.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Curriculum is nice and interesting. You can select from pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical chemistry or pharmacology. I did specialisation in pharmaceutics.1) 1st year includes several subjects like Pharmaceutical technology, drug development etc. 2) 2nd year includes research work which can be done either from any industry or from college itself.

Internships Opportunities

No stipend is offered by the college since it is a private college. Whereas, stipend is offered by government colleges. Also you must have passed GPAT in order to be eligible for stipend. But the college invites several companies for placement like Unichem, Alchem, Abbot etc.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placements are good. The college invites many pharmaceutical companies for placement like Reddy Labs, Alchem, Abbot Laboratories. All the companies offer between 3.0 Lac to 3.5 lac depending upon the location. In case you donot want to work in pharmaceutical companies, their are also options like CRO, KPO etc.

College Events

3.5

A cultural fest is organised annually which includes fashion show, treasure hunt and many other games in which students can participate. A performance night is also there in which a celebrity is invited to perform and the students and enjoy and dance along. Also includes many eating stalls and shopping stalls.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have not taken any scholarship or loan from the college nor am i aware of any. But i guess there might be any scholarship that would be offered to the students who top and score the highest.

Campus Life

4.5

The campus life is good. The campus is not very widespread and there are not much places to hang around but the hostels are good enough as far as hostelers are concerned. Plus the campus is very close to chandigarh on one hand and patiala on another which offers great places to visit on weekends. There is no gender bias or bullying around with juniors. There is full security in the campus and is very safe. There are hostel nights and other parties in the campus.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostels are good and comfortable. The rooms are on sharing basis and there is TV on each floor. The mess is average and the food offered by mess is also average, The fees is around 1 lac annually.

Alumni/Alumna

The college seniors are cooperative and helpful. There is no trend of ragging or bullying around the juniors. There are many alumni who are successful and are well placed. Also while studying the seniors provide all kind of research papers incase they are under same guide.

Exam Structure

The study is difficult. The curriculum includes 3hours of lab work everyday which is very strictly followed and the also is included in the final exams. The study is hectic.

Faculty

4

The faculty is nice, cooperative and intellectual. Each student gets a guide in 2nd year and the entire faculty is very knowledgeable and helpful. You can consult your guide anytime whenever required and their assistance will be very helpful throughout th

Placement Experience:

There are barely any core pharma companies visiting the campus for M pharma placements. Most students especially in pharmaceutics have to fund jobs on their own after graduation. The degree gives you basic academic credibility but you must upskill onyour own to be trueky employeble in core pharma roles

Merit-based. The college provides opportunities for pharma students to take admission to bachelors masters and diploma programs of pharmacy. The factors that made me take admission in the college were faculty quality, the ranking of the college, the competition among the students.
