The college has a good management system as it is systematic.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is wide and not only focuses on design, but also other related subjects such as business, psychology and sociology. All classroom assignments consist of the internal marks with each assignment, carrying a 100 marks. The term ends with practical examinations.
Placement Experience
Internships are required in the third and fourth years. A short one month internship with an NGO in the third year. College helps in acquiring such placements.
College Events
Events at our college are very frequent consisting of every traditional festival celebration along with patriotic days as well such as Navratri, Diwali, Halloween. We have weekly speaker sessions as well, such as help in gaining knowledge from industrialists and designers.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is about 3.6 lacks a year, which only includes the tuition fee. The college curriculum requires several printouts as well as models whose material expenditure is in addition to the tuition fee, which approximately rounds up to a 10-15 thousand a year.
Fees and Financial Aid
I have not opted for any type of scholarship or education loan as it is not required for this university.
Campus Life
The campus life is interesting and exciting. Overall the ratio of girls to boys is the same and people from all across India come to study here. We have a workshop for doing all our physical model making work and 3d printing. We are allowed to take part in competitions by other colleges.
Alumni/Alumna
The seniors are extremely helpful as they are able to provide insights on projects that they have already done and have understood their mistakes.
Admission
The first round of admission consisted of the NPAT exam followed by a design aptitude test. After clearing the found round, an interview session along with a portfolio review was conducted before shortlisting the candidates. This process took about a month's time.
Faculty
The college has numerous faculty, both permanent as well as visiting. Each of these persons are experts in their respective fields and thus are able to pass on this knowledge effectively. The faculty is also very approachable for solving queries and taking critique.
