Hotel Management college

Since you didn't get the hostel in the first year so the expenses for living will be very high as sky touching. The pg will take upto 13000per month for six sharing plus deposits and other charges. So i suggest you to take flat in sharing. Also for the night you have to arrange your dinner from yourself and morning breakfast also. Because college is going to provide you only the lunch

The course is too good as there is no need for more than 3 yrs for learning and getting degree. So many college strech it to 4yrs. The exam pattern is like you get 30% of the marks you scored in midterms. And 70% from the semester exams. There is semester system. There will be 6 semester in total but one of the semester in the second year will be for internship (industrial training). Which is compulsory.

You get very nice job opportunities. Approx package for every student will be 1.5 - 3 lacks. Yes college will send you for I.T. (industrial training) you have to appear for interview. Many group of five star hotels like taj group, Oberoi group etc. Will come for Industrial trainer's. Also college favour you to have industrial training at your home town or wherever you want as much as possible.

In our college, not much festive are celebrated but some are celebrated those are Janmashtami, Ganapati, onam (some times), and Christmas. But there is a huge food fest celebrated in March - April named CORNUCOPIA.

The overall fees for three year course is approx 4 lac. You can check the web site of the college i.e. Www.Ihmctan. Com for detailed fee structure. The fees for Ihm Mumbai is 25%More than the other Ihms. So this is expensive.

You get scholarship from the college. About scholarship you came to know from the college side after about two three months of beginning of session. And about loan you get loan easily from any bank. Just you to submit all the necessary documents reqd. By bank and the allotment letter of college and fees structure printout.

There are mainly four groups made the literature, cultural etc. You can be part of it for extra curriculum activities also sports teams are made for basketball, football etc. If you ard good at sports you can join them.

In first year, hostel will not be provided by the college you have to stay at pg or you can take flat on rent with 2-3 students togather. From 2nd year you will get hostel on the basis of attendance and marks. The fees for hostel is 85000 per yr inclusive of food. You have to pay it apart from college fees.

The seniors are very helpful as well as busy. The alumni network of the college is very strong and high. And most powerful as compared to other Ihm colleges. Also no senior will be doing your raging. As Ihm Mumbai is declared as 100% raging free college. And very strict actions are taken against the raging.

In January approx the forms will be out every year for the entrance exam that is necessary for taking admission in the college. For taking admission in any IHM you have to clear the exam called NCHMCT JEE. The full form is national counsel for hotel management and catering Technology Joint entrance exam. By giving this exam you have to score under 900 rank to get admission in Ihm Mumbai for general category. For sc, St and obc it is not necessary because they get benifit of the reservation and at very low rank. They get admission. Now from this year there is some relaxation for general category as they get 10%reservation for those whose family's annual income is less than 8 lakhs. The category is called general ews. So I was the lucky one as I got admission in general ews category. The campus of the college is not too expanded as in Mumbai the place means money. But the all the labs and the equipment reqd for training and learning is available here. Placements are too good.
