Course Curriculum Overview

My college is affliated to Rajiv gandhi university of health sciences (RGUHS), Karnataka. Exam is conducted on yearly basis by RGUHS. First year of course includes 3 subjects - Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry. Total of 6 papers are written.

Placement Experience

Placements are good, but should perceive MS/MD degree. My college provides internship. But I am still in first year so I cannot have experience and stipend.

College Events

Freshers Day, Graduation day, Synapse. (6th term seniors cultural event), Seniors graduation Kannada rajyothsavam.(Karnataka state festival), Utkarsha.(university level cultural and sports events), Ganesh chaturthi.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Expensive because last year it was around 17000 but it rose to 50000 during my admission. But it was expensive. So it is government decision. So we cannot go against it. Hostel fees is extra and mess fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

Vidyasiri scholarship sponsered by karnataka government and central sector scheme for meritious students by central government.Minority students apply for educational loan. MHRD scholarship by central government.

Campus Life

They are good. There will be atleast 2-3 events for both cultural and sports events. Labs are well equipped with lab assistants. Sports are many with good sports equipements many cultural events are conducted.

Alumni/Alumna

At first they are strange and wild towards us but during exam time they are the one who are helpful towards us. They make us to participate in different cultural events and sports events. They are good natured.

Admission

Got government seat based on NEET marks and got admitted through Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) to vijayanagar institute of medical sciences(VIMS), bellary, Karnataka. Got this seat based on merit basis through NEET marks. NEET rank - ALL INDIA RANK - 47261.

Faculty

Good, student friendly, good knowledge, helping hand, few are arrogant, few are friendly, but overall they are good towards us,protecting is from seniors from being ragged, they are well talented. So overall they are good.

curriculum is designed to be highly relevant and comprehensive for modern medical practice.Early Clinical Exposure is One of the strongest aspects of the curriculum is introducing students to patients in their very second year. The final year of the curriculum—the Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI) is effective it prepares students for the high-pressure environment of Indian healthcare, making them very capable of handling emergencies and outpatient departments (OPD ). Students feel that lectures are still too focused on passive PowerPoint presentations.Rigorous schedule, integrating "Life Skills" or "Stress Management" modules more formally into the foundation course would be helpful. The university exams (RGUHS) are generally fair but require a very high level of descriptive writing and practical precision.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the classes are taken regularly in preclinical and paraclinical subject and some of clinical subjects as well. these are slidepresentation, demonstration and group discussions. there is great learning opportunities. case discusions are done in clinical postings. integrated leaning is not much practiced and would be drawback. library timings are not suitable at all.

The first batch of students is passed out in this year from our college. Now they are doing their house sutgency. Besides they are preparing for their pg studies. Most of the students will opt for higher studies like MS, MD, etc. Our hospital is average with average cases. And specialty hospital construction work is going on.
