Course Curriculum Overview
Faculty is very learned and this college produces well trained professionals for the Hospitality Industry. The course is spread across three years, in six semesters. We have 4 core subjects - Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B Service and Food Production. Apart from that we have theoritical subjects that change with every semester. In SY, we train with a reputed 5 star hotel property for industry exposure to get an idea of the department we are interested to pursue a career in.
Placement Experience
In SY, we train with a reputed 5 star hotel property for industry exposure to get an idea of the department we are interested to pursue a career in. We have campus placements in TY during which a number of hotel chains and other companies come to recruit employees. The opportunities are fair and everyone gets it.
College Events
We celebrate almost all festivals in college and have two annual fests. One is for the students only and one is an annual food/trade fair that we organise during which we cook and sell food from various cuisines.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is feasible and not expensive at all compared to other hospitality colleges. Hostel charges and separate and are comparatively cheaper than staying in a PG or a flat in the vicinity.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are no scholarships that our college offers. There are various certificate programs that people can join for a few months to learn culinary skills.
Campus Life
We have various sports meets and musical performances. We also participate in college fests.
Hostel Facilities
I live in the hostel and we have various facilities. The rooms are 2 sharing and 3 sharing. There are common washrooms and there is adequate storage space. We live under and curfew and are given night outs as and when we ask for the same. The mess food is very good and the menu changes weekly.
Alumni/Alumna
IHM is like a family. All alumni are very very helpful and are very easily approachable.
Admission
I gave the All India NCHM JEE in 2017 Feb and got an AIR of 614. I got selected in the second round of the admission process. I joined on July 17th after completing all the formalities in the month of May-June.
