How good is the Electronics and Telecommunication branch in the NIT, Raipur?

The electronics and Telecommunication branch requires a lot of hard work and dedication as the branch lacks core placements.
Making effective branch-related projects is the only way to do something in your domain. In NIT Raipur, there would be 1-2 core companies coming for placements, so it is a rat race where you have to win anyhow to get a core job.
If you are not interested in core jobs and are comfortable with the software domains, then you can opt for the CSE/IT branch as getting the software jobs with these branches would be easier. Electronics can be preferred after CSE/IT.
If you think that opting for Electronics and Telecommunication branch will keep your door open for both the core and software oriented jobs, then it's only the software part where you would be finally landing.
For further studies, research work, NIT Raipur is great as they focus more on academics and less on attendance.
