Studied at Thapar University (2019)
There are a number of criteria that Thapar University students need to fulfill in order to pass. A few of them have been listed below
Students have to maintain a minimum of 75% attendance including tutorials, lectures, and labs. Students who don’t fulfill this criterion face detention and have to repeat the course next semester.
Students have to score 33 marks after combining tutorials, practicals, quizzes, and semester exams. However, they will still pass the subject if they score less than 33% at the End of semester or any other exam.
Students scoring between 33 and 27 in one subject, and more than 33 in others, get a D grade without repeating the course.
Students scoring between 33 and 30 in two subjects, and more than 33 in others, get D grades in both subjects
Students who fail to fulfill the above 2 criteria get an E grade in a subject and can appear for an exam, the marks of which are substituted as END SEM marks. If your marks become more than 33, then you get a D grade in the subject,
If a student fails to secure more than 33 even after this exam, then they have to repeat the subject in the next semester and they will be getting a D grade on passing the subject.
