Thapar University has one of the oldest Chemical Engineering departments but now its situation is not very good.
Core placements are very limited. Mostly companies like J.PMorgan and ET medial-abs recruit students from these branches.

The curriculum of Chemical Engineering at Thapar University is obsolete and irrelevant to the industry trends.
Thapar University is increasing the fees every year so people with financial constraints should reconsider.
The professors are average and not what you expected
The chemical engineering students have long study hours around 30 hrs/week.
I will suggest you to go some other institute preferably a NIT that charges less fees and offers better opportunities.
