How is B.Tech Mechanical Engineering branch at NIT Trichy? What about its placement in 2025/26?

I’m currently in my first year of B.Tech Mechanical Engineering at NIT Trichy, and I can say the curriculum is pretty solid. It focuses on real-world applications, which is crucial for our future jobs. As for placements in 2025, most of my seniors got placed by the end of their 8th semester, with companies like Google and L&T coming in. The campus atmosphere is also amazing, especially during the cultural fest, Festember, which is a blast!

NIT Trichy's Mechanical Engineering branch is quite good! The curriculum is designed to help us prepare for either jobs or further studies, and I’ve heard that students can pull in crores worth of packages. Placement eligibility starts in the 7th semester, and I’m excited to see how it goes for us in 2026. From what I gather, over 90% of students who sit for placements get jobs, which is super reassuring!
