To be honest, I've only spent a year at Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College. From what I've seen, the infrastructure is decent, though not top-tier. The faculty is generally good, but some departments don't have enough teachers, which can make it tough for students to keep up with their studies. Still, I think it's a better option than Techno India Saltlake Sector 5 Engineering College.

A big thing to consider is that Jalpaiguri is a government college, while Techno India is private. Overall, Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College seems like a solid choice. So, opting for admission there could be a wise decision.

In my opinion, Techno India Salt Lake Sector 5 may have some good aspects, but Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College stands out for its B.Tech in Civil Engineering program. The curriculum is well-structured and prepares us for real-world applications, and the placement record is decent, with an average package around 6 LPA. The faculty are experienced, and the scholarship opportunities available, like the SVMCM scholarship, make it financially manageable. Overall, JGEC feels like a solid choice for engineering students.

I think Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College (JGEC) is a better choice compared to Techno India Salt Lake Sector 5. I’m pursuing a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Computer Science and Engineering here, and the faculty members are highly qualified. The average package during placements is around 8 LPA, with the highest reaching 74 LPA. Also, the college has a good number of internship opportunities, and many students have secured internships with companies like Amazon and Microsoft. The environment is quite supportive, making it easier to grasp concepts and prepare for our careers.

I’d say Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College has its strengths, especially in placement opportunities for the B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering course. Our average placement package is around 7-8 LPA, and the highest package offered last year was 64 LPA. The college also provides numerous internship opportunities; many students have interned at big companies like Google and Amazon. The faculty are supportive, and the curriculum, while traditional, meets the requirements for our exams quite well.
