IIT BHU PhD Admission 2025-2026 Begins for Even Semester @pgadmission.iitbhu.ac.in; Apply by Nov 14

IIT BHU has released the PhD admission schedule for the academic session 2025-2026. The last date for online submission of the application form is November 14, 2025, at 5 PM. Candidates with a master's degree are eligible.

The last date for the notification of shortlisted candidates to be called for the Test and interview on the admission portal is November 20, 2025.

On December 5, 2025, the institute will release the list of selected candidates, including those on the waitlist, on its official website. The last date for online submission of the admission fee is December 8, 2025.

The last date for the 1st and 2nd withdrawals from admission/waitlist activation is December 11 & 15, 2025, respectively. In case of withdrawal, the candidate shall pay a fine of INR 10,000. No refund of academic fee, except Caution Money, would be admissible to any candidate who withdraws his/her admission on or after the date of registration/admission.

After completing the IIT BHU admission process, the admitted PhD candidate will directly receive an offer from the concerned Department or School.

Steps for Submission of Online Application Form

Step 1: The candidates have to register at pgadmission.iitbhu.ac.in/register

Step 2: Log in to fill out the application form. Click Here to view a sample

Step 3: Select the program

Step 4: Fill in all the required details

Step 5: Upload your photo and signature

Step 6: Pay the admission fee.

Step 7: Select the registration category, program, department/school, and discipline/specialization.

Step 8: Fill in the details of the GATE/GPAT/NET or a qualified examination for the fellowship. (Mandatory for full-time regular category)

Step 9: Complete the academic information, work experience (mandatory for sponsored candidates)

Step 10: Fill in the referee's details and publication details (only for PhD programme)

Step 11: Self Declaration

Step 12: Save, View, Lock/ Submit, and Download the application form PDF for future reference.
