BITS Pilani PhD Admission 2026

The Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS), Pilani, has announced the commencement of the PhD admission process for the First Semester of the academic year 2026-27. Applications are invited for both full-time and part-time programs across its Pilani, Goa, and Hyderabad campuses in various disciplines, including Engineering, Science, Pharmacy, Management, and Humanities. Candidates holding a Master’s degree (M.E., M.Tech., M.Pharm., MBA, M.Phil.) or a First Degree (M.Sc., B.E., B.Pharm.) can apply.

Interested candidates must register and submit their applications through the official BITS Pilani admission portal by the deadline of April 29, 2026, accompanied by a non-refundable application fee of ₹2,600.

Candidates interested in pursuing research at the Pilani, Goa, or Hyderabad campuses must hold a Master’s degree (M.E., M.Tech., M.Pharm., MBA, M.Phil.) or a First Degree (M.Sc., B.E., B.Pharm.) with a minimum of 60% aggregate. For those applying to Humanities and Social Sciences, a minimum of 55% in an M.A. degree is required. Part-time applicants must also provide proof of at least one year of professional experience.

The institute offers attractive fellowships of up to ₹42,000 per month for selected full-time scholars after performing excellently for two years. It is recommended that applicants review the department-specific requirements on the official website before completing their registration.
