Admission to the Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) 2026–31 at IIM Ranchi will be based on three key components: IPMAT 2026 score, Personal Interview (PI), and Academic Profile. The institute will prepare the final Consolidated Merit List (CML) using these factors with specific weightage. IPMAT 2026 score carries the highest weightage of 65%, the Personal Interview accounts for 15%, and the Academic Profile based on Class 10 and Class 12 performance contributes 20% to the final selection.
For the IPMAT score component, equal weightage is given to both sections of the exam. Verbal Ability contributes 32.5% and Quantitative Ability (including MCQ and Short Answer questions combined) also contributes 32.5%. Initially, candidates will be shortlisted for the Personal Interview (PI) based purely on their IPMAT 2026 performance.
The academic profile evaluation considers marks obtained in Class 10 and Class 12. Candidates with 90% or above receive the highest scores, with 8 points for Class 10 and 12 points for Class 12. Scores gradually decrease for lower percentage ranges, and candidates with less than 65% in either level do not receive academic profile points. This academic assessment contributes 20% weightage in the final merit calculation for admission to the IPM programme.
