IIM Ahmedabad wrapped up Cluster-1 summer placements with 80+ roles offered across consulting, finance, and advisory domains.

The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM-A) successfully conducted Cluster-1 of its Summer Placement process for the PGP Class of 2027 on October 28, 2025. Recruiters spanned six major cohorts, covering consulting, finance, and advisory domains.
The process was conducted in a hybrid format, with leading domestic and global firms offering over 80 internship roles.
Top consulting giants, global financial institutions, and private equity firms participated, reinforcing IIM-A's standing as one of India's most competitive MBA campuses for summer placements. Cluster-2 and Cluster-3 will be held on October 31 and November 3, 2025, respectively.

IIM Ahmedabad Summer Placements 2025 Cluster- 1
Cluster-1 at IIM Ahmedabad showcased a diverse hiring landscape, with companies recruiting across six major cohorts, including Management Consulting, Transformation & Operations Consulting, Advisory Consulting, Cards & Financial Advisory, Investment Banking & Markets, and PE/VC, Asset Management & Hedge Funds.
The process followed a hybrid format, allowing recruiters to engage both online and on-campus, resulting in a strong pool of high-impact internship opportunities for the PGP Class of 2027.
In consulting, IIM-A once again strengthened its leadership position with the big strategy firms leading the hiring round. Accenture Strategy, Boston Consulting Group, McKinsey & Company, Bain & Company, and Kearney were among the most prominent recruiters.
They were joined by established global consulting houses such as Alvarez & Marsal, EY-Parthenon, Oliver Wyman, Roland Berger, Strategy&, and L.E.K. Consulting, underscoring the consistent demand for IIM-A talent in strategic and advisory roles.
The Investment Banking & Markets segment saw equally strong momentum. Goldman Sachs and Standard Chartered Bank emerged as significant recruiters, accompanied by other leading financial institutions including JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America, Barclays, Citibank, HSBC, Morgan Stanley, and Avendus Capital. These firms offered positions in equity research, capital markets, corporate banking, and strategic advisory functions.
In the Private Equity, Venture Capital, and Asset Management domain, participation remained robust with marquee names such as Blackstone, Ares Management, Multiples Alternate Asset Management, Piramal Alternatives, Premji Invest, Faering Capital, and Gaja Capital hiring for strategic investment and fund management roles.
These internships provide students exposure to investment evaluation, deal execution, and portfolio strategy.
The Cards & Financial Advisory cohort also attracted strong interest, led by American Express, which recorded the highest number of hires in this segment.
Firms such as Cranmore Partners and Synergy Consulting also extended offers for advisory and financial strategy roles, reflecting the rising demand for finance-tech and advisory talent.
Cluster-1 also saw international opportunities, with students receiving offers from Goldman Sachs (Hong Kong/Singapore), HSBC (Hong Kong), and Strategy& (Middle East). These placements give selected candidates the chance to work in some of the world's most competitive business hubs early in their careers.
