TS EDCET 2026 Registration Extended Till April 22; Exam on May 12

Kakatiya University, Warangal, has extended the registration deadline for TS EDCET 2026 till April 22, 2026, with a late fee of Rs 250. Eligible graduates seeking admission to B.Ed programs across Telangana colleges can apply online at edcet.tgche.ac.in.

The entrance exam will be held on May 12, 2026, in computer-based mode. Candidates must complete their registration before the deadline to secure their seat in participating institutions.

The TS EDCET 2026 is a state-level entrance test conducted by Kakatiya University on behalf of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE). This exam determines admission to B.Ed courses in all recognized colleges across Telangana.

The test evaluates candidates' subject knowledge, teaching aptitude, general awareness, and communication skills. Approximately 231 institutions across the state accept TS EDCET scores for B.Ed admissions.

TS EDCET 2026 Important Dates

The application process is entirely online through the official portal. Candidates must pay the registration fee via credit card, debit card, net banking, or UPI. The general registration fee is Rs 750, while SC/ST/PH category candidates pay Rs 550.

After fee payment, candidates need to fill in their personal details, educational qualifications, and upload required documents.

Candidates must ensure they meet the eligibility criteria before applying. Applicants should be at least 19 years old and hold a bachelor's degree with minimum 50% marks (40% for SC/ST/PH categories).

Graduates from engineering, commerce, and science backgrounds are eligible, provided they have studied relevant subjects. Professional degree holders like MBBS, BDS, and LLB graduates are not eligible for this exam.

TS EDCET 2026 Exam Format

The TS EDCET 2026 exam will be conducted in two sessions on May 12, 2026, with each session lasting 120 minutes. The first session runs from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon, while the second session is from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

The question paper contains 150 objective-type questions (MCQs) with a total of 150 marks. Candidates will be evaluated on subjects studied till Class 10, teaching aptitude, general English, general knowledge, and computer awareness.

Admit cards will be released on May 9, 2026, and candidates must download them from the official website using their registration number and date of birth. The exam will be conducted across 18 test centers located in various cities including Hyderabad, Warangal, Karimnagar, Khammam, and Nizamabad.

Results are expected within 20-25 days after the exam, followed by counselling for seat allocation. Candidates who qualify will participate in the counselling process to secure admission in their preferred B.Ed colleges.
