Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education (LNIPE), Gwalior has released its prospectus for the 2026-27 academic session. The comprehensive document outlines admission schedules, eligibility criteria, fee structures, and seat availability across undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and doctoral programs.

The prospectus covers admissions for 11 major programs including Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed.), Master of Physical Education (M.P.Ed.), Master of Sports Science (M.S.S), Master of Sports Management (M.S.M), M.A. (Sports Journalism), M.A. (Yoga), and various diploma and certificate courses.

LNIPE operates two campuses: the main campus in Gwalior and the North East Regional Centre (NERC) in Guwahati, Assam. The institute is a deemed-to-be university recognized by UGC with Category-I status and NCTE recognition for B.P.Ed. and M.P.Ed. programs.

B.P.Ed. and Ph.D. applicants pay ₹1,000, ₹900, or ₹800. M.A., M.S.S., and Diploma programs cost ₹500, ₹450, or ₹400. Post-graduate diplomas range from ₹1,050 to ₹1,500, varying by candidate category.

B.P.Ed. admissions through CUET portal follow a three-component evaluation: written test (40% weightage), physical fitness test (30%), and sports skill proficiency test (30%). The program offers 200 seats at Gwalior and 100 seats at Guwahati with reservation for SC (15%), ST (7.5%), OBC-NCL (27%), EWS (10%), and other categories.

Candidates must be 10+2 pass with maximum age of 21 years as on July 1, 2026, with relaxation for reserved categories. M.P.Ed. admissions require B.P.Ed. or equivalent qualification with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST).

The program offers specializations in Physical Education Pedagogy, Exercise Physiology, Sports Biomechanics, Sports Psychology, Health Sciences, and Sports Management. Total seats available: 80 at Gwalior and 40 at Guwahati. Admission weightage: written test (60%), physical fitness test (20%), and sports skill proficiency test (20%).

All applications require mandatory medical fitness certificates in the prescribed format, uploaded during online registration. Candidates must submit category certificates (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS) issued on or after April 1, 2026, in central government format. PwD certificates, photographs, signatures, and indemnity forms are also required. Documents must be uploaded during online application; incomplete submissions lead to automatic cancellation with no option for reversion.

After merit list declaration, counseling will be conducted through MP Online portal for B.P.Ed. and M.P.Ed. programs. Candidates must complete document verification and fee payment within stipulated periods; failure results in admission cancellation. All admissions close on September 15, 2026.
