The PTE is valid for Canada and can be used to apply for a student visa, work visa, or permanent residency. Visa Requirements for Students in Canada

Before candidates may study in Canada, student visa requirements require that candidates strictly adhere to the standards outlined below. If candidates have all of the necessary documentation, the PTE for Canada study visa application procedure is fairly straightforward. The papers will be validated if the candidate produces the Letter of Introduction and the relevant documents to the Immigration Officer at the airport and the border control officer. After that, candidates will be issued a study permit to live and study in Canada. The Canada student visa checklist is provided below.

  • A valid passport is required.
  • Must produce candidate's 10th and 12th-grade diplomas
  • Academic and employer references (if candidate has any job experience)
  • Candidates must have two passport-size pictures taken lately.
  • Before a candidate may study in Canada, candidate must demonstrate that candidate can afford candidate's tuition, living expenses, and return transportation for candidate's self.
  • PTE Academic score certificate must be submitted.
  • The candidate should also be able to demonstrate that if any of the candidate's relatives or family members accompany the candidate to Canada, the candidate will be able to cover their living expenses as well as their return.
  • Candidate must obtain a police certificate to verify that candidate has no criminal record.
  • A medical certificate proving the candidate's excellent health. There is a necessary Immigration Medical Examination (IME) in which candidates must schedule an appointment with one of the panel doctors.
  • Candidate must demonstrate that candidate intends to depart Canada when candidate's study visa expires.
  • Statement of Purpose must be submitted.

PTE Score Approved For Canada Immigration

The easiest approach to go about getting a Letter of Acceptance from a Canadian Designated Learning Institute (DLI) is to first achieve a PTE score of minimum 61. PTE scores are now recognized for visas to Canada. According to Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) PTE is valid for Canada PR. Pearson has developed the PTE Essential test for English language skills in preparation for Canadian immigration.

Canada SDS Accepted PTE Academic

On August 10, 2023, Canadian government included PTE academic as approved English language test for SDS applications. To qualify for SDS, candidates must achieve a PTE score of 60. The candidates who have already taken the PTE academic and have valid score reports can use it for SDS application.

PTE is a benchmark test for immigration. PTE Academic is accepted for study at a range of institutions in Canada. PTE test scores are valid for 2 years, so candidates must plan their test accordingly. PTE for Canada PR is accepted by IRCC from late 2023.
