New PTE Score Report and Skills Profile

The Pearson PTE academic score report has changed. When a test taker completes their PTE Academic test, they will receive a new Score Report starting this year. A new PTE score report has Skills Profile, both of which will be available on myPTE. The report and profile inform students of their test score and language proficiency level, as well as where they might improve. Here are some of the changes:

  • No more enabling skills
  • One skills profile
  • Personalized Recommendations

No More Enabling Skills in PTE

Enabling skills in PTE include grammar, vocabulary, spelling, pronunciation, oral fluency, and written discourse. The PTE Academic Score Report provides test takers with an overview of how well they performed on the exam. It comprises an overall score ranging from 10 to 90 that assesses their English proficiency against the Global Scale of English (GSE). Individual scores for the four communicative skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing will also be displayed. These scores are determined by their responses to all exam tasks.

By getting into their Score Report Code or assigning results directly through MyPTE, test takers can share their score report with an infinite number of institutions.

Online Skills Profile in PTE

The Skills Profile has eight language skill categories. Skills Profile provides PTE score card and detailed feedback on English proficiency level. Candidates can use it to determine English skills that need improvement. Only the test taker will be able to see the new Skills Profile. Importantly, it will not be shared with the institutions to which they are applying. Its purpose is to help the test taker and their teacher determine which specific language skills can be improved.
