What is your philosophy of leadership? How would you describe your leadership style?

I think my leadership philosophy revolves around the idea that leadership is all about the capacity to translate vision into reality along with the team. I try to focus on uplifting each team member to ensure they reach their full potential. In dynamic fields like engineering, especially computer science, continuous training and faculty development are crucial. By regularly updating and supporting our team, we work to enhance their skills and add value to the university. My leadership style is collaborative and growth-oriented, fostering a team that's always prepared to adapt and excel.

How does the curriculum of the college ensure the best practices of industry?

I would say that our curriculum is a blend of industry and academia, with experts from both fields actively involved in our Board of Studies. Their insights shape the curriculum through collaborative brainstorming sessions, ensuring it aligns and meets industry needs. This collaboration is essential for generating employment and meeting industry demands. Specializations like AI, IoT, cybersecurity and VLSI are prioritized, with input from industry. professionals to improve the curriculum. This continuous review process ensures our curriculum remains relevant and effective.

What do you see as your college’s greatest strengths?

According to me, our institution's greatest strength is our highly qualified faculty members. As a new university, I think we've been fortunate to attract talented individuals who share our vision for growth and excellence. And this strong foundation of skilled educators, guided by effective and visionary leadership, positions us to achieve even greater heights in the near future.

What are some of the biggest challenges you see, both for higher education in general and for your college specifically?

In my opinion, one of the biggest challenges we face as a new university, especially in our Department of Engineering and Technology, is attracting more higher-ranking students. Gaining recognition at national level in a competitive landscape is a challenge. While we use social media and other platforms to boost our visibility, we believe that as our alumni network strengthens, we'll attract more brighter students and recognitions over time. This gradual recognition is very crucial for our growth and remains a major challenge in the current higher education environment.

Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth?

My suggestion to the youth is to explore beyond what is being taught at the university. While we strive to implement the new education policy (NEP) and improve our offerings, students have access to a vast array of online resources. And I think they should take advantage of these resources to enhance their knowledge and stay competitive. However, it's very crucial to be mindful of their choices and not get distracted by the unnecessary content. Focus on the right resources is key to making the most of what's available. Also, it is suggested to explore and develop their entrepreneurial skills and become a job creator rather than a job seeker, which is going to be a great contribution towards the nation and society at large.
