What is your philosophy of leadership? How would you describe your leadership style?

My philosophy of leadership is rooted in inspiration and motivation rather than dictation. I believe in working hard and sincerely to set an example that I always hope to influence my team and those around me. By showcasing dedication and integrity, I try to create an environment where everyone can feel empowered to achieve their own best. This approach, I think, can create a collaborative and positive atmosphere, driving collective success and personal growth for all team members.

What are the major challenges in managing exams, and how do you address them?

The major challenge that we face is the dependence on third-party vendors for the results announcement process, which directly impacts our ability to announce results on time. Coordinating on multiple fronts complicates the process further, as decision-making is not centralized yet.

How do you coordinate with the affiliated colleges to ensure uniform examination standards?

To ensure the timely declaration of results across all 75 affiliated colleges with Gurugram University, I follow a comprehensive process that includes a pre-examination process under which we set the exam schedule and appoint paper setters, examiners, and senior supervisors with inputs from all the affiliated colleges. This approach helps us streamline the process. Initially, the department coordinated with all examination centers and took their confirmation to ensure the seamless conduct of the exam. Under this process, we appoint vigilance squads to prevent cheating and manage complaints of unfair means. The logistics under this process include the supply and collection of answer books, which are efficiently handled to maintain the order. Besides that, we prioritize the evaluation of received answer sheets while keeping the students' identities anonymous. Our major focus is always on declaring results promptly for graduating students. Our goal is to issue degrees, DMCs, and provisional mark sheets within 45 days of the result announcement, which can ensure a smooth transition for students.

What do you see as your college’s greatest strengths?

If I talk about the greatest strength of this institution, it is its higher authority, which has granted the power to make required changes to improve a lot of things, including the examination process. This includes implementing new policies, updating procedures, and adopting new technologies to enhance efficiency and fairness. It also allows for new ways for students to communicate their concerns. This helps the concerned department to quickly address the challenges and ensures that the required process meets current educational standards and students' needs.

How has technology been integrated into the examination process, and what are its benefits?

The integration of technology has greatly improved examination-related processes. We have provided a dedicated email ID and a portal for the students to share their concerns about results, degrees, provisional mark sheets, and other relevant issues. This helps students to easily submit grievances, ensuring their concerns are addressed promptly. These tools improve communication, making the process more transparent, efficient, and accessible for students.

What advice would you give to students regarding exam preparation and planning for their future?

My advice for the students is to stay informed about examination rules and the ordinances to avoid issues. They should also be more aware of the options for rechecking, re-evaluation, re-totaling, and inspection within 30 days of result publication. Additionally, it is very important to develop a habit of continuous learning and self-improvement, as these skills are invaluable in all areas of life.
