You have held key positions at education institutes throughout your professional career. What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

The key factors that keep me connected with the education sector are the transformative impact on students, the opportunity for personal growth and learning, the chance to make a positive societal impact, and the vibrant community of dedicated professionals. It is these factors that fuel my passion and drive my unwavering commitment to the field of education. As we talk to a lot of the younger generation while we are teaching, it helps in my own personal growth as well. The questions asked by them keep me motivated. Each day, I have the privilege of witnessing the intellectual growth and personal development of my students. It is an incredibly rewarding experience to see their minds expand, their perspectives broaden, and their dreams take shape. Being able to play a part in shaping their future and helping them realize their potential is immensely fulfilling.

How does the curriculum of your institute ensure the best practice of industry?

We follow the curriculum as per the MDU as we are affiliated with them. There are some other methods of teaching that I use in my classrooms. At our institution, we believe in providing comprehensive support to all students, including those who may require additional assistance. We understand that every student has unique strengths and areas for improvement, and it is our responsibility to ensure that each individual receives the necessary guidance and resources to thrive academically. For weaker students, we offer extra classes specifically designed to address their learning needs. These classes are tailored to provide targeted instruction, remedial support, and additional practice opportunities. Participating in conferences provides students with a platform to showcase their research work, exchange ideas with experts in their field, and broaden their understanding of the subject matter beyond the confines of the classroom. By actively participating in conferences, our students develop a sense of confidence, critical thinking, and a passion for continuous learning. Overall, our institution strives to create a nurturing environment where every student, regardless of their academic strengths or weaknesses, can flourish. How is your relationship with the students of your college?

Building strong and meaningful relationships with our students is of utmost importance to us at our college. We believe that a positive and supportive student-faculty relationship is the cornerstone of a vibrant and enriching educational environment. We strive to create opportunities for students and faculty to interact beyond the classroom. This can include organizing guest lectures, seminars, workshops, and extracurricular activities where students and faculty can engage in informal conversations, share experiences, and develop meaningful connections. Our ultimate aim is to provide them with the support, guidance, and mentorship they need to thrive academically, professionally, and personally. I share a cordial relationship with my students. They reach out for their personal as well as any other guidance as well.

Will you like to highlight anything about Chemistry?

I have been teaching MSc Chemistry to students for some time now. There's a concept of Green chemistry which is very interesting. Teaching students about Green Chemistry opens up a whole new perspective on the role of Chemistry in sustainable development. It highlights the importance of adopting innovative methodologies and synthesizing environmentally friendly materials that have minimal adverse effects on our ecosystem. By instilling an understanding of Green Chemistry principles, students not only gain a deeper appreciation for the impact of chemical processes on the environment but also develop the skills and knowledge to contribute to a more sustainable future. Industrial jobs in the field of Chemistry encompass various sectors, including pharmaceuticals, materials science, energy, environmental sciences, food and beverage, cosmetics, and many more. These industries rely on the expertise of chemists to drive innovation, ensure product quality and safety, and contribute to technological advancements. Motivating students to stay focused towards their goals and work hard to achieve them is an integral part of our role as educators. We understand that each student has unique aspirations, and it is our responsibility to guide and support them in their journey towards success. Firstly, we acknowledge the advantages of gadgets and technology in facilitating learning. We leverage online platforms, interactive learning materials and educational apps to enhance the teaching and learning experience. Online classes have become an integral part of education, enabling students to access resources, collaborate with peers, and engage with the curriculum from anywhere at any time. We provide guidance on leveraging these tools effectively, helping students maximize their learning potential. However, we also address the potential downsides of excessive gadget usage. We educate students about the importance of maintaining a healthy relationship with technology, emphasizing the need for moderation and setting boundaries. To encourage students, we emphasize the importance of setting clear goals and creating a roadmap to achieve them. Ultimately, our goal is to empower students to be responsible digital citizens who can harness the power of technology for their educational and personal growth while maintaining a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
