Deepak Verma has been an assistant professor at DMS MNIT Jaipur since July 2013 and has over 22 years of postgraduate teaching and industry (business development) experience. He has a doctoral degree in Online Marketing and a postgraduate degree in Management (MBA) with dual specializations in Information Systems and Marketing. He also completed a management certificate program in Export Management from the Ministry of Small-Scale Industries, Government of India. He has been actively engaged in the development of the PG (management) curriculum and has developed several courses and study materials for many universities and academic institutions. He has also designed, developed, and conducted over three dozen workshops and training programs for management graduates, academicians, and professionals, including for companies like IBM India, Steria India, Wipro, HINDALCO, Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, and Ajanta Group of Companies, to name a few. He has also been part of consulting projects totaling over Rs. 130 million. He has over a dozen research papers published in leading peer-reviewed international journals and is currently serving on the review boards of three international journals. His teaching interests include statistical decision-making, marketing, and business analytics, and research methods. His research area relates to understanding behavioral issues in digital and online environments and technology adoption issues.
Being part of management, what is your philosophy of leadership? How would you describe your leadership style?
My leadership philosophy revolves around empowering Individuals, fostering collaboration, and promoting a culture of continuous growth and learning. I believe effective leadership involves guiding and inspiring others to reach their full potential while achieving organizational goals as well.
My leadership style is a combination of transformational and servant leadership. I strive to lead by example, demonstrating integrity, empathy, and a strong work ethic. I believe in providing a clear vision and setting high expectations but also providing the necessary support and resources for individuals to succeed.
I value open communication and encourage a participative approach, where team members can voice their ideas, concerns, and perspectives. By fostering a culture of trust and respect. I aim to create an environment where everyone feels valued and empowered to contribute their best.

Education, in my opinion, is one of the most fulfilling and rewarding industries to work in for several reasons. Firstly, education has a profound impact on individuals and society as a whole. As educators, we can shape the minds and futures of the next generation, helping them develop knowledge, skills, and values that will benefit them throughout their lives.
Secondly, the education industry provides a platform for continuous learning and personal growth. As educators, we are constantly engaged in research, staying updated with the latest advancements in our field, and continuously improving our teaching methodologies. As an academician and professional in the management field, I believe in the transformative power of education and the immense value that an MBA can bring to one's career.
I, actually, never planned to pursue an MBA. I was a hardcore science student until my Senior year of high school. A friend of mine introduced me to a 5-Year MBA program. As luck would have it, I got admitted on my first attempt. However, from there on, my journey towards pursuing an MBA full of passion developed a comprehensive understanding of management principles and how and why people work and behave. I recognized that an MBA would provide me with the necessary knowledge, skills, and networks to excel in all spheres of life, which are full of dynamic and competitive challenges.
I especially enjoyed the collaborative learning environment, and interactions with talented peers from diverse backgrounds enriched my understanding of different perspectives and sharpened my problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Also, throughout my journey, I was fortunate to have inspiring professors and mentors who guided and motivated me. Their expertise, guidance, and encouragement played a significant role in shaping my career and instilling in me a passion for management education.
