Dr. Vikesh Gupta is a professor and the Dean of Applied Science and Humanities at Sushila Devi Bansal College. With a B.Sc. degree, he also holds a M.Sc. from Holkar Sc. College along with a PhD. He has published 15 papers in internationally reputed journals and presented 12 papers at different conferences, seminars and workshops. He has also presented three papers at international conferences. Dr. Gupta is presently guiding one PhD student with their thesis and under his guidance, an M.Phil. student was able to earn their degree. He is a member of the Indian Science Congress Association.

What keeps you connected with the education sector and how has your experience been so far with the Institute? 

I have been associated with Sushila Devi Bansal College for the past 18 years. In our institute, students from diverse backgrounds are admitted to B.Tech. courses. Our main objective is to groom these students and help them achieve their goals while ensuring their success.

What is your philosophy of leadership?

As per the guidance provided by the teachers of my school, there will not be any substitution for grades up to 12th standard. However, we strongly emphasise the significance of the four-year curriculum for college students and train them accordingly for success. Our ultimate objective is to prepare them for good placement opportunities in reputable companies. This is my leadership philosophy for students.

How does the curriculum of your college ensure best practices?

When students enroll at our college, we provide tutorials to help them achieve high marks in the RGPV examination. Our success lies in securing the number one position last year. We conduct mid-semester examinations, offer personalised one-on-one attention to students, and, importantly, dedicate Saturdays to provide writing practice for those who may be struggling.

What are your roles and responsibilities in this institute? 

I am the Dean of Applied Science and have many responsibilities related to our faculty. We offer Faculty Development Programs (FDP) and Saturday Enrichment Programs to support their professional growth. We also organise industry visits for our students every Saturday. There are many other initiatives we undertake to support our teachers and students.

What do you think is the greatest strength of your institute?

Our institute's greatest strengths lie in excellent academics, comprehensive training programs, and successful placement initiatives. These pillars collectively contribute to a well-rounded educational experience for our students, ensuring both knowledge acquisition and practical skill development.

Any suggestions you would like to give to the aspiring students and current youth?

Sushila Devi Bansal College has been performing exceptionally well for the past four to five years, achieving a 100% success rate. Last year, we also secured the top position in terms of results. We are committed to ensuring the best possible outcomes for our students, and as representatives of Bansal College, we are always striving to do our best for them.
