What keeps you connected with the education sector and how has your experience been so far with the institute?
I feel that learning is something very natural to a human being, and it never stops. We keep learning all the time. That's what keeps me attached to the education sector. I find that knowledge is above everything else. Without education, we are nothing. I feel education is a crucial aspect for every human being, and nobody should be deprived of it.
What is your philosophy of leadership?
A genuine leader is a selfless individual who genuinely cares about the well-being of those around them, especially individuals in need of support for their personal and professional growth. This leads to the question of what specific ways one can help and support those nearby, fostering leadership qualities and a selfless attitude. The focus here is not only on professional development but also on the overall well-being of those receiving support. This is my philosophy of leadership and how I work within my department.
What are your roles and responsibilities?
Currently, I am heading this management department of the institute. I am tasked with fostering the belief inthe studentsthat they are engaged in something extraordinary and that they must strive to become the best versions of themselves. My responsibility is to ensure, both for myself and my students, that they can attain this goal. In the field of management, a multitude of responsibilities await, involving the management of others. Therefore, it becomes imperative to learn the art of self-management. This, I believe, is my primary role—to impart this knowledge and help students realise the importance of managing themselves, as it is fundamental for success in their future roles where they will be tasked with managing others.

How does the curriculum of your institute ensure best practices?
We are attuned to the developments in our surroundings through our curriculum. One aspect that warrants attention is the syllabus-oriented curriculum, where adherence to the directives of universities or law schools is essential. There are additional factors to consider, such as numerous examinations, certifications, and selective upgrades prevalent in our environment. As faculty members and senior figures in our departments, we diligently explore these elements to determine how we can integrate them into our teaching approach. Our objective is to assist students in enhancing their skills and augmenting their resumes, ultimately facilitating their specialisation in their respective areas and fields. Consequently, we remain vigilant to emerging trends and developments in the market and educational sector, aiming to incorporate relevant changes for the benefit of our students.
What do you think is the greatest strength of your institute?
Our college inculcates in us the aspiration to become better than the best which is the biggest strength of this place, and we strive for that. We're constantly working because there are a lot of competitors out there. The feeling to outperform others doesn't come easy. Extra effort has to come from the students, from the faculty, from everybody around us. We are constantly thinking about how to make things better. One significant strength of the institution is that the people at the apex are genuinely interested in what we are doing and how we are doing it. They're not merely issuing instructions but observing and providing what support we need to achieve those targets, goals, and objectives. The teachers and management at SDBC are always accessible, which is a huge strength.
Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth and aspiring students?
All of the best companies prioritise communication; students must work on their communication skills. Additionally, they have to learn the art of reading. When one reads, one can grasp the subtleties of the language, express one’s thoughts, and even articulate disgruntlement if they are unhappy in an acceptable way. A lot of research has been conducted by the Stanford Research Institute and other major research centres and they have found that of all soft skills communication skills is given priority. Students need to understand that developing good communication skills can pave their way to success.
