What is the latest program that you are offering in your institute/dept. which will help students outperform and stand apart from the crowd?

In addition to the regular B.Tech program, the Department offers B.Tech Honors and Minors programs. As part of the Honors program, selective students are given the opportunity to pursue advanced courses in the latest technological developments in the field of civil engineering. Under the "Smart City Planning and Development" Honors program, students are exposed to developments in areas such as green buildings, infrastructure planning and design, wastewater management, and smart transportation systems. Our students also have the option to pursue minors in fields like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Computer Science Engineering, IoT, Electrical Vehicles, and Robotic Engineering. These programs enable students to excel and distinguish themselves from their peers.

What are the factors that make this program the best for the students to opt?

Well-qualified and dedicated faculty, state-of-the-art facilities for students to conduct experimental and numerical studies and projects, a good placement track record, guidance, and technical training for better employability, as well as project-based learning and hands-on experience for the realization of fundamental concepts in real-world problems, are the factors that make this program the best.

What will you say the “best practices” in the course you’re offering

Offering quality education, promoting research culture, enhancing leadership qualities, providing training through field visits, industry interaction, guest lectures, clubs, student chapters, and conducting workshops, as well as internships in the industry and the implementation of teaching and learning methods are the best practices being followed.

What are some valuable insights of the program that you are offering at your institute/dept.?

The curriculum was designed in such a way as to meet the requirements of the core industry and the IT sector. This has yielded good results in terms of student placements, M.S. programs abroad, student awards, prizes, NSS, sports, technical workshops, and successful placements.

How does the program ensure that students are being prepared for the future?

Quality education, the inclusion of the latest topics in the curriculum, projects in futuristic domains, and the opportunity to pursue interdisciplinary areas such as AI, ML, IoT, and Computer Science, adopted by the department, ensure that students are well-prepared for the future.
