Dr. Vishal Jain is the Dean of Academics, Head of Training and Placement, and the Head of the Department of Electronics and Electrical Engineering at the B.M. Institute of Engineering and Technology. He has more than 21 years of experience in the field of education. He is a Professor of Electrical Engineering and a keen researcher. He has numerous research papers published and has contributed to the research field as a technical chair, speaker, session chair, reviewer and guest editor at various conferences, Faculty Development Programs and journals. He has evaluated several M.Tech. theses from various universities in India in the field of Electrical Engineering. His research expertize includes control systems, fuzzy logic, genetic programming and Iot.
Dr. Jain has been the technical chair and co-organizer of the Indo-European ICDAM Springer conference series in 2020 and the technical program chair of CCICT 21 an IEEE conference organised jointly by the Karkonosze State University of Applied Sciences in Jelenia Góra, Poland' and 'BM Institute of Engineering and Technology, Sonepat. He has completed his Engineering degree from Nagpur University, a postgraduate degree in Engineering from Deen Bandhu Chotu Ram University of Science and Technology, Murthal, an MBA in Operation Management from SCDL, Pune and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, Dehradun. Along with being a teacher Dr. Jain has handled a number of administrative assignments successfully and made exemplary contributions through his dedicated, committed and innovative approach with high integrity.

You have held key positions at BM institutes throughout your professional career. What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?
My strong connection to the education sector is driven by several key factors. Firstly, I am deeply passionate about empowering individuals through knowledge and providing them with the skills they need to excel in their careers. Education is the cornerstone of personal and societal development. Secondly, I believe in the transformative impact of education and its role in shaping the future. Finally, the ever-evolving nature of the education sector keeps me engaged, as it constantly presents new challenges and opportunities for innovation, which I find intellectually stimulating.

As the Dean of Academics of the BM Institute of Engineering and Technology, my philosophy of leadership centers around a collaborative and inclusive approach. I believe in leading by example and fostering an environment of mutual respect and teamwork. My leadership style is characterized by open communication, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous improvement. I strive to empower my team and students to achieve their full potential, while also emphasizing ethical values and a forward-thinking vision.
Being the Dean Academies of BM Institute of Engineering and Technology, how do you Strategize about the key programs and plans for the marketing and administration of your school?
The strategy for marketing and administration of our school at the BM Institute of Engineering and Technology revolves around a comprehensive approach. We develop key programs and plans that focus on academic excellence, student support, and community engagement. This includes implementing innovative marketing campaigns, optimizing administrative processes, and fostering strong partnerships with industry and academic institutions. Our aim is to ensure that our institution remains at the forefront of educational excellence.
The education systems in India and other foreign countries are Structured very differently. In your experience, what can an inbound student gain from studying here in your institute?
In my experience, an inbound student can gain a rich and diverse educational experience from studying at our institute. While the Indian and foreign education systems differ, exposure to a different cultural and academic environment can broaden one's perspective and enhance their global competence. Additionally, our emphasis on practical learning, research opportunities, and exposure to a wide range of industries equips students with a well-rounded education that prepares them for success in the global arena.

This involves further enhancing our research capabilities, expanding our global collaborations, and ensuring that our graduates remain competitive and ready to tackle the challenges of the future.
When you first came to BM Institute, what was your vision for the university? Has it evolved over time, and how far along in implementing that vision are you?
When I first came to BM Institute, my vision was to transform it into a world-class institution known for academic excellence, innovation, and research. Over time, this vision has evolved, and we have made significant progress in implementing it. We have established strong industry connections, introduced cutting-edge programs, and enhanced our research output. However, the journey is ongoing, and we continue to strive towards making our university a global education leader.
