- The course was highly diverse and interdisciplinary, could expand my knowledge in various fields important to what I wanted to achieve in future.
- Very international and versatile, highly reputed professors, good infrastructure, opportunities for academic career growth, organized and responsible advisors, encouragement to do public presentations, dedicated effort for extra curricular activities
Dislikes
- There is a popular opinion that since the university is situated in East Germany, it could be challenging to Non-German people as the natives can be a bit conservative. I myself have not faced any issue as such.
- The university is a bit spread out across the city , it will take around 20-30 mins to go from the CMCB campus to the main campus.
- The university doesn't offer any accomodation for students( which is the case for most of the public universities in Germany) but students can get cheaper accommodations offered by "Studentenwerk".
I would say going to TUD was one of my best decisions. Germany is great country for life science research, but also for living (Its not too expensive). The University helped me to build better, stronger personal and professional connections. I was an introvert and was easily intimidated by people, but the whole experience changed my life and helped to become a stronger, confident and independent person. Academically, it boosted my core skills and helped me to achieve things that was impossible to achieve with my past experiences.

- First, education and particularly research are great in Germany in my field and if you get admission to a public university there are no tuition fees.
Overall, it was a really nice experience with professors and getting to know about education abroad.

- TU Dresden is one of the top university in Germany under TU9 recognized for having one of the best Faculty of Computer Science department. Since my Masters program "Computational Modeling and Simulation" is being offered by the department of Informatics, I chose to pursue this course here. On top of that, the course is particularly highly Interdisciplinary, students can elect their subjects from their field of interests and complete their course credits. Also, Dresden is a budget-friendly city for students as the expenses for accommodation and the cost of living are pretty low compared to other major cities.
My overall experience has been quiet good. As an expat student I have got the opportunity to meet students from different International Background's carrying different knowledge experiences and had the opportunity to collaborate with them during the course of study. The Faculty is also friendly and allows students to take semester breaks in between for relaxation purpose. Students get an opportunity to be associated with the high level of research opportunities which are directly granted and funded by the federal government to the University.
