The college is quite affordable with several scholarship facilities available for students. There are also several schemes for students belonging to SC, ST and EWS categories. Addmission fees is taken once in a year and along with examination fees and registration fees. The yearly fees varies from ?4000- ?6000 for bachelor's program. The college has almost 6 faculties per department on an average. All the faculties are super helpful and are always ready to clear our queries. They all are super approachable. I'm particularly fond of all the faculty of the Anthropology department. The Anthropology department has an all-female faculty and they are very understanding and encourage you to be the best. An attendance of 75% is required to sit for the exam. There are majorly two exams per semester. The sessional/ mid semester exam. And there is three final exam or end semester exam. Each semester is of 6 months, so annually we have to appear for four exams, two end semester and two sessionals.

The admission fees for 1st semester BSc students is 7480 and the examination fee is 1630. The examination fee covers all the exam related expenses including the practical course work and the laboratory usage fee. Other fees including development and laboratory use are not required as far as I am aware. There is no requirement for security fee deposit. It is a government college. The infrastructure is good. The admission fees for BA students is 7180. The BCom branch is self financed here and there examination fee amounts for 1390. The faculty is very co operative and helpful. The alumni network is very strong.

Impressions on DM college Imphal

I really dont know the details about faculty Although the teachers in my department are quite good and responsible to teach us the best in every way they can And the way they conduct practicals Honestly I like how my Honours subject department cares for us While generally for almost every departments , they tend to neglect the GENERIC ELECTIVE students There are a total of 1main examinations for each semester upto 8th semester The exams are quite difficult and easy at the same time , personally I think if I study hard enough , it wont have any problems And the pass student percentage is quite low for every subjects in the university

From an early age I always wanted to serve the country and the peoples especially the poor and helpless ones with good laws and corruption-free system, so I took this course so that it will help me understand the society and my aim to become a civil servant Although the teaching methods are quite outdated , its still effective Exams are always delayed resukting in waste of our education year and the examination are average level

It's about my college life and please have a look in my beautiful review about my college life

Campus Life

Annual sport day is celebrated and also other festival programs are celebrated in the college . Novels and subjects books are available in the library. Many facilities are available in the college and sport facilities are available. AC are available in our college classroom and fans . Volleyball, football and badminton and Koko and kabaddi sports and other extracurricular activities are offered on college campus.

Antropology course is little bit difficult but if you study . Actually I want to purchase my antropology course to study further foreign sic antropology and then I'm gonna study criminology course I think they should improve the botanical coursed and and the way they teach there is 20 marked questions and 30 minutes to end the exam and it's 10 %difficult to give the exam .

Marjing

The faculty to students ratio is inappropriate since the number of students is way more. However the faculties were very friendly and helpful. The best faculties were the senior professors such as Prof Manglembi, our HOD. I didn't like Sir Shyamchand because of his unnecessary strictness. There are 6 semester exams. They were moderately difficult. Students rarely fail. The course curriculum was a bit outdated.

Our college celebrates its Annual Foundation day. Also, we have the College Annual Students Elections. The library accessibility is very easy even though the contents are not that much. Technological infrastructure is low. Our college focuses a lot on sports. There are various student groups such as the Environment Club, Personal Development Club.

Review on Sree Chaitanya College

The faculty members are really nice and gentle and there are such gentle and well experienced teachers they really help us to understand each and every thing in the theory and practical classes , some of the faculty members are not that good but it's okay .. overall it's a nice experience to be a part of that college.

The frees structure is 36000 per anum and there are such scholarship available in the graduation time that is Swami Vivekananda scholarship For 3 years per year this scholarship gives 18000 rupees so approximately you'll get 54000 rupees in three years

One of the Best College for Anthropology in Assam.

Actually now its NEP, so I should say that its somehow good but up to 3rd semester we have to study 7 subjects (Major, Minor 1, Minor 2, AEC, MDC, VAC, SEC) which is huge for us. For example, I'm a 2nd semester science student having Anthropology as major and Zoology and Chemistry as minor and during my 1st semester I had EVS as my VAC and Humanities and Social Sciences (Modern Makers of Assam) as MDC; and now I have Trade and Commerce in India as my VAC and Humanities and Social Science ( Democracy and People's Right). And my friends Humanities have to study subjects like Natural Science, Earth Science, etc. Literally I'm wandering as a science student why I've to study Humanities and Commerce.

I must say the overall experience is good because it is a government college. The infrastructure is good but we lack in proper playground for sports like football, cricket, hockey, etc. but we do have basket ball court. And yes, we do have different clubs, like music clubs and all. And also we have Red Ribbon Club, NSS, NCCs, etc.

An Honest Review

In India especially in Assam, anthropology is considered as a quite younger discipline. Most students who have Anthropology major are not quite aware of the vast subject matter of the discipline at first There are many important branches of the subject such as Biological Anthropology, Social Anthropology, Archaeology, Forensic Science, NGO management, etc. Most of the common people are not aware of these branches. One can easily make a career out of this subject. In fact nowadays in most of the competitive exams in the country such as UPSc, there is a complete paper on Anthropology. One can easily score a decent marks in the exams through a proper analysis and study of the subject

As DHSK is a semi government college, the fee structure is a bit on the higher side than the other colleges. In odd semesters the fees can be as high as 7000 rs. It's even much higher for self financing courses. The students of the college can easily opt to various scholarship schemes provided by the government such as Ishan udaay etc. The process of application,confirmation and verification is also smoothly done by the office faculties.

Passionate Learning

The college usually celebrates Teacher's day annually, which is usually done according to the teachers' convenience. Other than that, Fresher's meets are organised by the social groups run by the students. There is a variety of books available in the library which can be read anytime according to our convenience. Autobiographies, Biographies, Science stuffs, etc are available in plenty. Classrooms are vast and consists of more than 50 chairs and desks with both white board and black board in each and every room. Sports are usually conducted by the students organizations using the fields available in the college campus and field trips are also held annually led by the subject teachers. There are many organisations and social groups run by the students namely Tribal Students Union (TSU) consisting of the Scheduled Tribes students, Kuki Students Organisation (KSO) consisting of Kukis, DMU Zomi consisting of all the Zomis in the College.

I chose this course because honestly this was the most easiest and most interesting one for me. The faculty staffs are very sufficient, usually three or four teachers are assigned to one subject and they take turns taking their classes daily. Most of the staffs posses master degrees in their respective subjects. They teach their own classes delightfully. They are also very friendly. They give us complete and guide us properly during Practical classes too. There are six semesters in a course. Exams are conducted twice a year, at the end of every semesters. The exam questions are exceptionally difficult and very difficult to get pass marks. For theory pass mark is 27 and for practical it is 10 , so in order to get pass marks we have to score at least a total of 33 out of 100 marks. Pass percentage was not that great, its always around 50% or worse as questions are difficult and exams and checking are strictly done.

Admission

the admission process was based on the pass marks of the previous examination that is HSSLC.I have Choosen the subject anthropology as it is one of the most interesting sibjects in our university to learn because there is lack of subjects to choose in the university

The course is very interesting and CBCS system is also included by our time so it is now must to get 75% attendance to sit into any examination in college.Examination is based on semester system so we go thorugh an examination in every 6 months.

Memories Bring Back

I had a dream to study about Geology,but I got only 78% in 12th from West Bengal Board. I am from Kolkata,so there are only 2 colleges that has the subject Geology,I applied for both two and I got rejected ? the time i broke down. Then my father told me to study Chemistry honours,I had no interest in Chemistry. As time was going on and all of my friends were busy in taking admission,so I went to Sarojini Naidu College VB which is nearby my home to see subjects,then I found the subject Anthropology,i filled a form for applying in chemistry. After coming home i researched about a huge in Anthropology,i told my father that i want to study anthropology,my father got angry,that there is no future. i had never heard anything about the subject,do chemistry honours. I fought with my father a lot regarding this. In the first merit list of chemistry honours my name got come. I was not happy,then one day my father went to that college and told them everything about me,the principal of my college was shocked and after seeingy result,she said yes,she has a good marks,you ca choose anthropology,but you have to promise me that you will give your best. That day i took an admission to this college

It was a challenge for me to give my best. I tried to give my best till the last date of my college. There were two exams in a year. And in pass I had Food and nutrition, molecular biology also. with learning anthropology i got to know many of things,i can proudly say right now that i have done my graduation with bsc in Anthropology,which is regarding evolution, genetics,tribes and a lots kf things. People can try it,we had to do 2 excursions in a year

Academic

The admission process is done through the cutoff mark selections based on the previous class marks, every stream of the subject has their own cutoff percentage depending on the different phases of admission. I was admitted to this college through the 3rd phase of admission. The college conducts approximately 3 stages of admission in which different cutoff marks are published regarding the first, second and third phase of admission. Probably with the science stream the cutoff gets up to 85 - 90 in the first phase, then 75-85 at second and 70-75 at the third phase of admission.

The exam structure is good and has a height standard regarding the strict rules and guidelines for the exams to be performed by the students. The course curriculum is good and is totally fair to all the courses with different streams. The question is of good standards for students as a tackle to how to do good and excel in scoring good grades through tough hard work.
