Faculty

Faculty is very insightful and helpful. They are there to fix all and any doubts or problems. Although they have a very busy schedule and sometimes lectures are postponed or delayed, they make up for it with interactive sessions with discussions. Exams are comparatively easy if one studies accordingly. One must be updated with current affairs and newspapers to enroll in the BAMMC course.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is well structured and interesting. It changes every semester. There are 6 semesters in total. Two for every year ie FY 2 sems, SY 2 sems, and TY 2 sems with the option to choose between journalism and advertising in TY. A lot of interesting topics are covered and assignments are fun to do.

The experience has been slightly above average and with a few complaints a long the way, most of the things have been smooth. Clubs in SIES are amazing I am a part of the Cultural association and it has so much to offer. Other than CA there is the rotaract club of SIES and the Lion's club. About the infrastructre its amazing no complaints but I wished the Sports gymkhana makes some improvements

Faculty

The faculty is one of the selling points of SIES. Generally friendly and understanding rather than being arrogant. The exam systems and the ATKT systems are also very strict, SIES college doesn't take all these things very lineantly

Campus Life

1) The Nazarana Fest is amazing, and the college is investing a significant amount of money in this event. 2) There is a very good collection available in the library. 3) The college uses the latest technology, including smart boards, projectors, and air conditioning. 4) The college offers many sports, such as cricket and shooting. 5) Currently, there is no student group operating at the college, but there is a need for a student-run social group. There are only 2 or 3 official college groups, like the Leo Club.

Wilson has many festivals with Ole being the main college fest and other departmental fests like Polaris -BMM, Adore -BMS, Backslash - BSc IT, etc. I personally being the VP for Polaris learend a lot during the making of that fest the entire pre process. and etc. Personsally Never been to the library there so cant really say something. The tech was decent not so hi tech and advanced. Sports were a major part of wilsons, including football, boxing, cricket, etc. as wilsons has its own gym khana all activities take place there. A lot of students are part of the sports in Wilsons with a ligh level of some players of the State team. wilsons do have many clubs too that have a lot of activities going on and a lot of csr activities. There is a fest named Hope that is part of this clubs.

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is 1 Faculty teaches 120 students approx for the first two years. In the third year the course is split into Advertising and Journalism so the Student Teacher Ratio is maintained. The faculty that I would Personally Prefer is Tejasvi Khatri, Hanif Lakdawala and I cant Personally recollect anyone else. Would not name them but there are times when faculty is well versed with old school technical knowledege where i will prefer to have someone who is in the industry and can teach students the updated softwares. We had 2 semesters and an internal for each sem that had an presentation or assignment. For me personally the exams were a peace of cake as I was pretty well-versed with the technical knowledge as I used to freelance to make quick pocket money.

Faculty

So there is a good ratio of well educated friendly yet professional teachers but there are also 1 or 2 teachers that are pretty rude and are not even good at teaching also some teachers don't have class control at all.

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is perfect as all students get equal attention and we are free to approach them with our doubts when we feel like it without feeling like we cannot talk to them freely and openly. Due to the new NEP policy we have 2 semesters per year, each semester consists of 2 exams, midterms (10 marks), internals or class assignments and presentations (10 marks) and finals (30 marks), this makes the exams very student friendly as the pressure is reduced.

Course Curriculum Overview

As our course focuses on multimedia and mass communication there is a mix of both practical and theoretical knowledge in our curriculum. Mostly practical knowledge as it gives us real life situations and case studies which we can use in our day to day life and also use this knowledge when we go out into the field and use it in our careers, it focuses more on understanding the theory and using it than on mugging up textbooks.

Fees and Financial Aid

So when I was in First year the fees was 21,300and in second year the fees was ig something 22,000 and for third year it was 23,500 as I was a general category student. For sc and special caste it was only 5000 per year due to their scholarship enrollment, and even they use toh get remaining amount out of 23000 from the government ig . The fees would also vary if the student takes admission through the management quota of the college . Lastly the registration fee would have been same for all three year that is 200 rupees.

Course Curriculum Overview

So usually the BTS of choosing this college was to I have seen the BAMMC event like pixel through my frnds pov that made me think taking BAMMC would be fun and learn could rather than taking some commerce course and only studing without fun so yeah ????

Faculty

Faculty under whom I got to study Were all Professionals who have Worked in the i dustry before, whose Students Do work in Big companies like Meta or Google and they do Have Guest lecture atleast in the BMM course, so All those Big People about whom you might have heard On television they come to college to give Guest lecture in BMM course you have Enlightenment session too were Professors Motivate you so much to Do good life so Here in Wilson college's BMM course Teaching faculty they are so good that they Don't limit their teaching only till The teaching part they do Extra things also For us to reach where We wanna be! Plus We had a Legend Person our Profesor Sudhakar Solomaraj You Google his name you will know who he is and Who are his Students Many Filmmakers and Producers and Owners of big companies and News writers, reporters and Who else not, have been his students I got that opportunity to be there in his class and Be one of his students, I was not good But I Was lucky enough to Be there in his class. If I talk about Exams the. exams were Super good for us We use to Get question banks and A lot help to Study it from our Professors They are helpful and Good But when it comes too attendance being Low Then You might end up in trouble you can Be A Bad Student and Still survive Very well in college just by attending all the lectures but if you Are a Good student and You have Low attendance levels then It difficult for you to survive there

Fees and Financial Aid

First Year i Paid around 19 thousand as my Course fees, 2nd Year onwards it was 24k thousand, candidates with Reservation quota Only has to Pay 600rs for the year also they will have apply for scholarship And Fill it online. If not they won't be Eligible for scholarship, if you have paid the fee and Later on you still want to Apply for scholarship you can, and if you do fill up the form and submit it in the college in given time then you will be the full reimbursement of the fees you paid, I think My Course was Affordable Cause I Get the best faculty the Best teaching then best People Around me 27*7, so It is worth that money. Addmission process is Good if you fall under Any Quota Selection they do have Christian Minority quota too. And they are Now an Autonomous College, so Attendance is compulsory If you fail To Reach 75% attendance then you won't be allowed for Internals Exams Eventually you will get Atkt and fail. So, to successfully finish your Years in college with BAMMC course you will need 75% attendance as Minimum. Second Good thing is that the College starts at 7 in the morning and ends at 12 pm or 1 PM, so you get rest of the Day to do Your extra curricular activities, i Did choose that time to do internship as many as I could. You will.also Get a lot of Hands-on Experience if you are into BMM. Lastly I would say Don't mess with the management team Here.

Campus Life

Annual fests are there but i dont articipate in them every year the name changes like for example: Saptarang 2022 etc in April-June. Library is good and contains all types of books and journals for the students. College is equipped with high technology but not for our course its only for Science students. Sports are given importance very much and the aspect hat i cant play is very bad, but overall the sports facility in the college is very good. No such permanent groups in the college for any student portals ( they are all temporary)

Faculty

Faculty to students ratio: 1:20 (For my course) Faculty tostudent relationships is very nice but the main thing is that they don't know how to teach. The best faculty member is my Communication teacher, which is only person to understand us and give us good education. Other than ithis everyone is just minding their own work and don't think of the students. There are 2 main exams one is the unit test and the second is the term examination of 50 marks.
