Course Curriculum Overview

5

As our course focuses on multimedia and mass communication there is a mix of both practical and theoretical knowledge in our curriculum. Mostly practical knowledge as it gives us real life situations and case studies which we can use in our day to day life and also use this knowledge when we go out into the field and use it in our careers, it focuses more on understanding the theory and using it than on mugging up textbooks.

Fees and Financial Aid

The combined fees per year for BA in Multimedia and Mass Communication (BAMMC) is approximately Rs 35,000 which is what i paid for my first year, this includes everything necessary for the first year. There are definitely differences in fees for special categories to cater to their needs.

Campus Life

5

We have a great library aswell which we can access books, newspapers, journals, etc. The college also has various clubs and committees to help students engage and better their college life. We also do have a few sports coaching available.

Admission

Considering my background with media and communication studies, i chose this college due to its great facilities and experienced faculty as thats whats most important when choosing a degree like BAMMC as it requires proper facilities like our recording studios, labs and editing studios. We require proper modern equipment which this college has and also since it is a smaller college with only 2 departments, it is more focused and dedicated towards its students and their welfare in learning.

Faculty

5

The faculty to student ratio is perfect as all students get equal attention and we are free to approach them with our doubts when we feel like it without feeling like we cannot talk to them freely and openly. Due to the new NEP policy we have 2 semesters per year, each semester consists of 2 exams, midterms (10 marks), internals or class assignments and presentations (10 marks) and finals (30 marks), this makes the exams very student friendly as the pressure is reduced.

Night Life

5

There is no hostel in our college but we have a great canteen called Bombay to Barcelona Cafe in our college campus where we go to unwind during our break time. Being in the heart of Bandra, there are many places students can go to unwind after a day of classes

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I want to be in the film industry. I want to become an actor. This course helps us to get aware of all the media industries. Be it films or television or even radio. Now, there are even more fields such as Public Relations and Event Management. There is an almost equal number of girls and boys. The faculty have industry experience and are well-spoken. They help us in each and every way possible. The use of presentations and modules is common. The learning process is fun and easy. The examinations are conducted in a semester pattern. There are a total of 6 semesters that are conducted on time. The syllabus covers a wide range of topics such as communication, films, photography, etc.

Placement Experience:

Form third year students become eligible for campus placement. Many reputed companies like times of India hindustan times visited our college and got various students selected based on their caliber. The average package here is a around 5-10 Lakh per annum. Only those students who are talented enough for any post get selected for particular job. I'm planning to do a internship in popular media House.
