More often, BHM admissions are merit-based, but few of the colleges and institutes conduct their own aptitude tests. Entrance exams for which you might have to sit are UPSEE, AIHMCT WAT, IIHM ECHAT, and others. 3 different modes of admission in this course are discussed below:

  • Entrance Exam Based Admission:

Few colleges conduct their own aptitude test at the college level whereas there are some national level entrance exams too. After qualifying the examination, candidates are called for counseling and group discussion rounds.

You can apply for BHM colleges through merit also. Few of these merit-based BHM offering colleges invite applications for admissions. You can apply in these colleges through both online and offline mode. You need to submit your details in the form including personal details, educational qualifications, and others. Course Curriculum Overview

I really appreciate that the university doesn't force vegetarian students to opt for nonveg food preparations I am utterly intrested in bakery and that has made me choose this course the curriculum prepares us for the practical knowledge required in the industry and Introduce us to the inside of the industry.I feel there should be more practicals conducted and a brief knowledge should be provided in them and the attendance for theory as well as practical should be made compulsory also should include some events. The exams are held 2 twice per year on semester basis with practical exams as well practical exams are around 2-2.5 hours long and written exams depend on marks as 60 mark operational subject are 2.5 hours and 40 marks subject are 2 hours long

Faculty

The faculty is well experienced and are always willing to make the students understand about the insides of the industry they are always supportive and reflect their experience and knowledge. They are very keen in practical knowledge inside and out of the industry. The course is divided into 6 semesters 2 each year and also include intership and OJT each subject carries 40/60 marks theory and 40/60 marks practical and internals.

Course Curriculum Overview

1) I always wanted to work in abroad countries and I was also very average in academics that's why I chose this course. My skill learning was good and I don't like studying theory that'swhy I chose this course 2) The college mostly focuses on practical knowledge of students which is applicable and helpful for real world .. Their is one subject personality development, Mrs Wilma merina d'souza is the teacher of that subject and she's very experienced and she was a motivational speaker she develops the personality of students very smoothly without being strict because her way of communication is very good. 3) the mostly subject teachers have boring teaching is style their are some unnecessary subjects i.e Hindi etc which I think should be replaced with some useful subjects. 4) the exam timings are of 3 hours in both the internal and semester exams but they are not too much lengthy. The semester exams happens till 1 months

Faculty

1) The faculty's interaction with students is very good the faculties always make sure that students understands everything . 2) chef Kartik and MRs. Sayantani karar are the faculties I liked the most because their teaching style is very good and unique from other facilities and they are strict and linient at the same time. For me Chef kartik is the best faculty because his teaching style is very good and unique..he always interacts with the students and never scold for invalid reason. He is one of the most experienced faculty member 3)I don't like Chef sriram and Mr Arun sir because of language barrier.. as they are from south india and I'am from North India. 4) In every sem the college conducts 2 exams ,one is internal exams and the other one is Semester exams . The exams are of moderate level. In every semester exams 10-11 students fails to pass the exam.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees I am paying for my course is 70,000. The tuition fees is 70,000 per year. The registration fees was 5000 which was deposited at the time of admission (one time). The caution fees is 1000(refundable). Examination fees is 15000 which needs to be submitted every year. I'm under general category and this is standardized fees for general category. The fees is lesser for category students which goes lesser by 10-30% compared to the general fees(depends from person to person according to the data provided during admission). Also, the University helps the needy students to get education loan from the banks. There is a specific team which helps the students regarding education loan from respective banks.

Faculty

The faculty student relationship is amazing here. The faculty is very supportive and they are very experienced. They are always ready to help us also they help us throughout our assignment. The faculty to student ratio is quite impressive. The food and beverage faculty is best and they help us a lot we have learnt a lot from them. The house keeping faculty is average but they are not bad. We have 2 exams per semester one is major another is minor. They are easy not very hard but major exams are harder. As of now none of my classmates has failed any semister. The course curriculum is very relevant and helped us to learn a lot.

The annual festival held in the collage is freshers day, farewell party, onam and dasara In library if we look for specific book for education isn't there but other books are available The labs were renovated this year but the year before was a living hell for faculties and students The only sport in collage is badminton and carrom board No social groups no clubs no student portal no student life

Course Curriculum Overview

Why I choose this course is because my father was a chef and I thought I will also became chef .and matter of fact I love cooking Well the curriculum only tells how to cook in collage with expired products Everything needs an improvement in the collage exept the teaching methods Exam time is perfect but the contents to study is pretty hard

As we our NEP batch so we have a chance to complete the college with BMS degree in 3rd years as well as BHM degree in 4th year. Campus Life

According to me the campus is super cool but the hostel are little old. They needs renovation which will start soon. The campus is full of greenary which is maintained by the gardener. The social life os the students are super nice. Many outdoor game are played and it is compulsory to play from 4:30 to 6:30 for the physical health of the students. There is a smart boards in the classroom so there is no inconvenience at all in our studys

Faculty

The faculty to students ratio is 1:22 which is not that good, but ok, teacher are good so supportive and gives practical exposures Mr. Sachin Kumar Pandey(chef), Dr. Saras verma, Mr.virendra Kumar Arya are best teacher in department having one to one conversation and understand students problem There is only one person I don't like Mr. Alok Prasad (HOD) and F&B teacher and of the hotel management department, he is rude, don't know how to talk and calls students for work even after after closing of the college, sometimes we have to work late night in the department, he doesn't listen to students, worst guy in college There are generally 6 exams and they level are normal, students having language barriers fails generally and those who remains absent or doesn't understand what's going on in class Course is good curriculum is good but there are things which are bad
