Course Curriculum Overview
The sylabus is well put out and th faculty takes great care in preparing for the lectures and lecture notes. They prepare presentations and conduct regular class tests for each module through online chanels in "moodle" as multiple choice quizes and even promotes healthy competition among students. Although i believe it would be better for all the subjects to follow the same criterias for assignment submissions rather than varied methods for different subjects.
Internships Opportunities
I did my internship at Four Seasons Hotel, Bengaluru where i got to work in all the core departments in the hotel, my training period was for 5 moths from December 2024 to April 2025. I recieved stipend of 3000/- per month during my internship.
Placement Experience
The college has MOUs signed with various Indian and International Brands like Marriot, IHG, CGH Earth, Crowne Plaza, Tamara Leisure Experiences, etc and apart from that other brands such as Taj, Hayatt, Oberoi, ITC Hotels, all come for campus recruitments every ear and offer jobs from entry levels upto Management Trainee levels to the students here.
Fees and Financial Aid
Admission Fees 500/- Tuition Fees 75000/- Special Fees 10000/- Caution Deposit 10000/- Other Fee 140/- PTA 1000/- Grand Total 96640/- the above mentioned structure if just for the first year, for second, third and fourth year the fees is 86000/- as it excludes Caution deposit, Admission fees and Other fees. Apart from this the hostel fees isnt actually fixed we had to pay 32200/- for the first year which included 10000/- for caution deposit, 22000/- for rent and 200/- for admission fees. Then the mess bill is calculated on a deviding system but does not exceed 5000/- per month.
Campus Life
The campus life is as vibrant as can be. The college offers 11 clubs that the students can be a part of. These clubs regularly conduct competitions, workshops and events to keep the college life active. the library hosts a wide variety of books and journals related to the industry and also fictional books to keep us entertained. We had regular food fests twice or thrice a year and sports tournaments a couple times a year. Onam and Christmas celebrations are the highlights of the campus.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel is situated inside the campus at a walkable distance from the college building. Each room accomodates 3 students in a spacious room but lacks lockers. The food is good, follows a cyclic menu with both Veg and Non-Veg options for dinner and lunch everyday. Registration process is completely digital including the payment. Free wifi is also provided in the hostel and there is electricity 24x7 and we never faced any power outage for more than 2 minutes.
Admission
I Chose this hotel management college because it offered stronger practical exposure and industry-focused training compared to the other institutes i applied to. The facilities like the training kitchen, model guest rooms, and training restaurant felt more updated and the faculty had solid industry experience. Also at the time of my admission Mr. Tilvin S had provided a wonderful orientation and a detailed walkaround of the institute which really helped me understand the facilities and the college environment.
Faculty
The college has well qualified and industry experienced staff with a staff-to-student ration of 1:20. As for the exams, in all odd semesters core subjects are taken, both prcatical and theory classes for Food Production, Food and Beverage Service, Front Office and Housekeeping are taken along with 2 management subjects per semester. And in even semesters Housekeeping and Front Office is replaced with technical subjects.
Night Life
The nightlife is very calm and safe within the campus since us hostellers had to enter the hostel by 6:30PM. This provides a very strict but safe curfew for us. In my opinion the curfew shold be later by 8:00PM as it would provide more time post class activities and sports.
