BAMS Admission 2025 is based on NEET UG scores. It is the main entrance exam that is accepted for admission to BAMS programs. The admission process includes clearing the NEET UG exam, participating in the counselling process and document verification for admission. 

NEET UG will be conducted in May 2025 by the NTA. Candidates clearing the exam have to appear in the NEET AYUSH Counselling or state counselling for seat allotment. Ayush Admissions Central Counselling Committee (AACCC), Ministry of Ayush conducts online counselling for allotment of AIQ seats across colleges in India. 

BAMS or Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery is a 5-year undergraduate Ayurvedic program. It provides theoretical training and instruction in Ayurveda and Ayurvedic medicine. Candidates must have passed class 12 with PCB and English with 50% marks to be eligible for the course.

BAMS Admission Process 2025

Admission to BAMS courses is based on the NEET UG exam. Candidates clearing the exam have to appear in the counselling process conducted by the AACCC or state authorities. Seats are allotted based on the exam scores, preference and availability of seats. Admission at the allocated college is granted after completing the admission formalities like document verification and payment of fees.

  • They must have completed 17 years of age at the time of admission. There is no upper age limit.

Ques. What is the admission procedure for BAMS in PGIMS Rohtak?

Ans. PGIMS Rohtak intakes candidates for BAMS on the basis of CET merit.  The application form for CET is available in June. It can be obtained after a payment of Rs. 2400 (general) and Rs. 600 (ST/SC/Backward). The CET exam is held in July, and results are displayed in the same month. The first counseling session usually held in September.  You must be at least 17 years of age by the end of that year, and must have secured a minimum of 50% (general) and 40% (SC/ST/Backward) in 10+2 with Chemistry, Physics, and Biology to sit for CET.  The paper is for 3 hours duration and has a total of 180 questions for 180 marks. There is no negative marking. Questions are asked from 10+2 level Physics, Chemistry and Biology.  The application form is available from the Controller of Finance, UHS Rohtak, or any designated branch of HDFC Rohtak, Ambala, Karnal, Gurgaon, and Hisar. Read more
