How internship got you new interest in your field?

Likes

I like curriculum activities held in our college.
I like chef competition, where we could enhance our skills
I like many more small activities held in our college.

Dislikes

I don’t like our hostel mess food. It could have been made better
I don’t like extra works which we do during our college period.
I don’t like odc concept because it doesn’t let students to gain knowledge

Placement Experience:

Our college has the best campus placement. All 5 star property comes and with different departments as well as different designations. And even they have a good package. 100% students get placed. And my plan is to get in housekeeping department after getting the degree.

Likes

Confirmed internship during the 3rd semester
Everyday practical classes for better understanding
Very supportive and helpful Head Of The Department

Dislikes

Very Poor and dirty maintained toilets with broken doors
Some teachers argue 24/7 with the students and behaves like enemies with the students.
The lunch is provided in the college but the food is not hygiene

Placement Experience:

• All 3rd semester students become eligible for campus placements . • Many big companies like ITC , Taj , Novotel , Hilton , Radisson Blu etc. come for the campus placements . • Getting placement depends on the student if he/she wants to further study or opt for job • MBA - my plan after the degree

Remarks:

I had keen interest in hotel management and wanted to pursue it. The institute has a very beautiful campus and a very good faculty and fortunately I was alloted to this college according to my rank. Moreover it got the cheapest hostel facilities but that too will be alloted as per rank in jee and further from the marks from the semester.

Teachers are kind and supportive

Remarks:

Its average as college building is not much painted and repaired compared to other IHM's but its okay. Due to faculties we dont feel that its not a good college.

One of the best institutes for hotel management studies.

Remarks:

Every colleges has pros and cons. One of the negative feedback that I would like to provide that is we have a water crisis and it is a little problematic.Other than that everything else is top notch.

I love my college, no negative remaks, just if they replace some new techs to the labs then the college would be one of the most perfect IHM all over india, otherwise we dont lag behind on anything . .

Remarks:

I did my B.Sc in Hotel Administration from the IHM, Guwahati. The college has a 100% placement record and good academics. The college offers overall all the basic amenities prescribed by the national standards with a world class infrastructure. The standard of teaching was also good, apart from some issues.

The Institute of Hotel Management is affiliated to the NCHMCT. The college is located in the heart of Guwahati. The college helped us in internship and the placement process, which helped in shaping my career. I have only IHM to thank for where I am right now.
