Established in 1984, the Institute of Hotel Management Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition is located in Guwahati, the capital of Assam.

IHM Guwahati offers undergraduate, postgraduate and certificate courses in the field of hotel management.

The admission for the undergraduate courses is done on the basis of the candidate’s performance in the entrance examination NCHMCT JEE.

The undergraduate course is provided by the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). The other courses under post-graduate and certificate courses are provided by the institute itself.

The institute invites applicants for a PG Diploma course in accommodation operation and management for a duration of one year and six months.

Remarks:

I had keen interest in hotel management and wanted to pursue it. The institute has a very beautiful campus and a very good faculty and fortunately I was alloted to this college according to my rank. Moreover it got the cheapest hostel facilities but that too will be alloted as per rank in jee and further from the marks from the semester.

Admission:

I filled nchmct form worth rs 1000. after a month sat for a entrance exam. and qualified then next went for Counciling in ihm kolkata paid 40000 for registration through online process and half of the money paid at the college when I was present physically and I got the admission got the hostel.

One of the best institutes for hotel management studies.

Admission:

I gave an NCHMCT ENTRANCE EXAMINATION and scored 8933 and I got the opportunity to study in IHM Guwahati. After all the selection round , we need to report to the assigned college for document verification and a physical report is also necessary. After your physical verification you'll get the hostel and you can start your classes.

The admission is on the basis of common counseling conducted by the NCHMCT. I got a seat in the college in the final merit list. Afterwards, the documentation process was the final step. The administration was quite supportive and flexible. They gave me time since I didn’t have my class 12 degrees with me during admission
