Review on INSTITUTE OF HOTEL MANAGEMENT, GUWAHATI

This course is about complete 60% practical and 40% theory. This course allows us to choose where we want to persue our internship . We get to experiance every situation for real life applications during the internship. Exam timings are very comfortable.

During the whole third semester, the sudents must have to be attending their industrial training and have to give presentation and reports about what we and learnt on the basis of which final marks are calculated for 3rd semester.

• All 3rd semester students become eligible for campus placements . • Many big companies like ITC , Taj , Novotel , Hilton , Radisson Blu etc. come for the campus placements . • Getting placement depends on the student if he/she wants to further study or opt for job • MBA - my plan after the degree

Fees doesnot increase but scholarship tests are help by the ministry of tourism, Govt. of India. Low attendance fines are present, extra 10000/- Rs is to be paid to college during admission for all the uniforms and equipments for the 3 yr course.

The my classmates are from all over India, They are very friendly and helpful to each others. The campus is very peaceful and no ragging is encouraged. Cocurricular activites like sports week, debate competitions, Dance competitions etc are help time to time

• There are a total number of 20 faculty members. Classes are held regularly and the learning process is very effective. • Some faculties taching methods and their mentorship can make a dull student also understand the topic. • I regularly interect with all the teachers whenever I meet them.
