- The Special Stray Vacancy Round of MCC NEET MDS Counselling 2024 is ongoing after the reduced qualifying cutoff of NEET MDS 2024. The last date for online registration for the Special Stray Vacancy Round is October 16, 2024 (3 PM). The last date for choice filling and locking is October 17, 2024 (8 AM). - MCC NEET UG Counselling 2024 is ongoing for admission to All-India Quota MBBS/ BDS/ B.Sc Nursing Seats. The Round 3 Seat Allotment Result for NEET UG Counselling 2024 has been released. Check Seat Allotment PDF Here. The last date to report to the allotted institute for admission is October 19, 2024.
- Tamil Nadu NEET UG Counselling 2024 is ongoing for admission to State Quota MBBS/ BDS Seats. The last date for online choice filling and locking for Round 3 Counselling is October 14, 2024 (5 PM). Candidates can register online and fill in their choices @ ugcoun24.tnmedicalonline.co.in/ug24. The college offers dental courses of BDS, MDS at UG and PG level. Additionally, it also offers diploma and doctoral courses. The college was established in 1953. However, the institute got its present name in 1992. Tamil Nadu Government Dental College and Hospital is affiliated to Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai.

Tamil Nadu Government Dental College and Hospital BDS and Diploma Admission 2024
Candidates applying for BDS course should have obtained not less than 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology / Botany and Zoology taken together at the HSC. For SC/ST candidates 10% relaxation is provided in eligibility criteria.
Selection to the BDS course is through NEET UG entrance exam. Merit list will be declared by Selection Committee of Tamil Nadu Government. NEET-UG will be conducted by CBSE for admission in MBBS and BDS courses. The NEET-UG will be conducted on May 7.
Admission to two diploma courses is based on merit of Class X.

Key Points for BDS Admission:
- Candidates applying should have completed the 17 years of the age on or before 31 December.
- 85% seats are reserved for candidates who have passed HSC from Tamil Nadu Board whereas 15% of the total seats are reserved under all India Quota.

Tamil Nadu Government Dental College and Hospital offers MDS course in eight disciplines, candidates applying to these courses should have done BDS from a recognized university and should have done one-year compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI).
Selection to the course is based on NEET PG entrance exam. 50% of the total seats are reserved under all India Quota; rest seats are available under state quota. However, admission to seats under both quotas is through NEET PG only.

Key Points for MDS Admission:
- Candidates who are completing or likely to complete their internship after March 31, are not eligible to apply.
- Candidates who complete CRRI in other States are not eligible.
- Already serving candidates who are selected by TNPSC/MRB (through Competitive Written Examination) and who have put in less than two-year of continuous service as on March 31, either in Tamil Nadu Medical Service or in Local Bodies is not eligible to apply MDS Courses.

Candidates seeking admission need to follow the given steps:
- Visit the College and buy the application form.
- Fill the application form.
- Pay the application fees through Demand Draft of INR 500 drawn in favor of “The Secretary, Selection Committee" Kilpauk Chennai-10 payable at Chennai.
- Filled-in application form with the necessary enclosures has to be sent on or before July 8, by 5.00 P.M. to the following address:

- Visit the website of TN Selection Committee, Directorate of Medical College and fill the online application form.

- Girls boys ratio is nearly 7:3 ...hostel is available for both girls and boys

Based on eligible cut off marks for admission.upto 2016 and community wise reservation seats are full filled From 2017 onwards.Now based on neet marks eligibility for admission in the college You have to submit certificates related to the college admission procedures.

The admission is through single window system counselling based on the higher secondary marks in the physics chemistry and biology. The counselling was held in directorate of health education in kilpauk chennai. The call letter will be sent before the counselling.

The best part is we had good Campus with all facilities. The faculty members really helped us to overcome future fears. And also they helped us to take correct decisions. We had all enjoy I our college and also got plenty of patient exposure and knowledge. The bad part is still our college has no inpatient wards.
