GDC Chennai Faculty

The institution comprises nine departments, each headed by a Head of the Department (HOD) and supported by 2-3 associate professors and professors, along with assistant professors who primarily lecture undergraduate students. All faculty members are postgraduate graduates, with some holding PhDs. The faculty consists of 5-6 members per department, maintaining a faculty-to-student ratio of 10:100. They utilize modern educational tools, ensuring high teaching standards, especially in medical subjects managed by MMC.

Exams vary yearly, with students required to clear 3 papers in the first year, 3 papers and 2 non-clinical tasks in the second year, 3 papers in the third year, and 8 papers in the final year. Approximately 3-4 students fail annually. Faculty are described as knowledgeable, approachable, and respectful, effectively imparting both academic knowledge and practical skills in dentistry.
