SJMCH PURI AT A GLANCE

Likes

The college is new and when I take admission we a only a senior batch.
So due to presence of only one senior batch there is no ragging and we gain guidance also.
As my college is located 7kms from beach I enjoy beach on weekly basis.

Dislikes

As my college is located 7kms outside of town.from
The transport system is very bad you can't take line auto .
My college is constructed on a gochar land so grasses grow very rapidly which decreases the beauty of campus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Now after 2019 onwards our curriculum has changed to CBME curriculum that is Competency Based Medical Education that is far better than previous.CBME curriculum prepares students practically to face the situation.

A glimpse about SJMCH

Likes

Good enough campus and very good location as puri is a tourist place.There is sea beach near by , you can chill there in free time . Good trasport facility and every other services like Zomato and swiggy are available. Lots of place to hang out......
And now about campus life - it is a ragging free zone ( a true ragging free zone , not just in pen papper) Initially you will get single room for one year which is good enough,then 2nd year onwards you will get 3 seated room which is also good enough
Now coming to academics the faculties are really very experienced and the classe are regular and mandatory attendance for theory is 75% and for practicals 80%.The strict academics makes our college best for study purposes.

Dislikes

For 1st year you can't keep your own vehicle.so you have to relay on auto rickshaw or other public transport.
The campus is not so big enough and yet there is no garden or such things in campus .
Hostel is little bit in rural area you have to go around 5-6 kms for town

Course Curriculum Overview:

We are grateful to our amazing teachers.They try to teach us in a wonderful way . The practical practice are so good here . From early clinical exposure to Class room teaching. Everything is good enough. As they emphasize on practical based teaching which surly help for our university exam as well as entrance exam.

The faculties are excellent here. They makes the difficult couse very easy.
Hostel faceilities are very good. Here we get single room in first year . And also the college is ragging free.

Dislikes

The mess food here is not as much good .

Course Curriculum Overview:

MBBS Course which is around 5.5 yr is very difficult course as it will make you a doctor which is on of the most prestigious profession .Here you not only read theory but practical aspect is also more important. Students deal with patients in hospitals while studying clinical subjects. Here whole course is divided in 3 proff+ internship for around 6 months . 3rd proff is around again divided into 2 phase . In each year you have to appear at least 3 internal exams and one university exam which consist of both theory and practical examination. To pass the exam you have to secure atleast 40% in theory and in practical separately and 50% aggregately.Teaching method given by NMC is quite effective and difficult also.
